Kamala Harris: The deal would basically be what Barack Obama got. That he pulled us out of. I think that it's important to not be a conspiracists, but you can listen to what people are saying. And wonder. Is it just a full on distraction from the things he... show more

ELON: THE PEOPLE SHOULD DECIDE WHAT'S IMPORTANT, NOT A HANDFUL OF EDITORS "I don't think there should be a gatekeeping function by a small number of individuals. For newspapers in America, there are about five editors that decide what gets put on the front page, or what to focus on, or what not to focus on. And most of the other papers just copy them, essentially. But is that really what we want? Do we want a handful of people deciding what they think is important? Or should it be the people who decide what's important? And I think it should be sort of an organic thing, where the people decide what's important and what to focus on, not just a handful of editors. They don't like the fact that this power has been taken away from them. But I think it should be." Source: European Jewish Association, January 2024

#WATCH | Delhi: Lok Sabha LoP and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi says, "I think a good idea would be that we frame the discussion not on us saying what you have not done and not on you saying what we have not done, but simply saying that what are we going to do for the people in India in the future, what are the action steps that we need to take. So I would say that it would be an interesting experiment to see if instead of you blaming us and we blaming you, we can try and say on this one issue where we agree, there's no disagreement, there we say, listen, let us just talk about the future of people of India." International VP of the United Steelworkers Roxanne Brown: I don’t know if I can curse on this podcast, but I’m a steelworker. One of the things I always say is, you can’t bullshit a steelworker. You can’t bullshit a union member, right? Union workers know the real and understand who is for them. When bullshit is in front of them, they’re able to identify what it is and see through that. That’s what I would really implore my brothers, sisters, and siblings across the labor movement: don’t be snowed by the bullshit. Pay attention, do your research on what Trump has done for workers versus what the Biden-Harris Administration has done for workers, and you will find there’s a huge gap. The Biden-Harris Administration has gone leaps and bounds—not just now but into the future—to secure a foundation for American working families and workers to propel into economic prosperity. What Trump has done is not that. He has told us from his own mouth that he doesn’t want us to be organized. He doesn’t support the right of workers to join unions. He does not support the right of workers to earn overtime or that extra bit of income to have more money in your paychecks to do the things you need to do for your family to survive. He has told you he does not support your retirement. He never supported the Butch Lewis Act. Over a million workers would still be facing a crisis and not being able to access their earned retirement if we still had a Trump administration. There are record numbers of people accessing health care because the Biden-Harris Administration has spent the time to get folks enrolled in the ACA to be able to access health care. These are gains, brothers, sisters, and siblings, that would not have happened under a Trump administration. These are gains that matter to your pocketbooks, gains that matter to your kitchen table because you need food on that table to survive. These are gains that matter to your kids’ future because they need jobs. Not everybody’s going to college. They need good union jobs to help them survive and earn a respectable living into the future. That does not come with that man who does not believe in us. We believe in us as working people. So pay attention, don’t be snowed by the bullshit. We know better.

What did he just say about Charlie Kirk? Is this man bananas or is he making sense? Listen to what he's saying about influence and the ability to get people out of apathy. I think he might be onto something, but I'm not 100% convinced. What do you think?

Jared Moskowitz’s message for Elon Musk: I think the time for staying in safe spaces is over. Twitter—or X—is a safe space for him. You’ve got to get out of your safe spaces. Go talk to the American people—not just on Fox, not just next to the president, and not just on X. Come to Congress and talk to the American people. He’s not afraid to do it—or at least, I don’t think he is. But if he really believes he’s right, if he really thinks he has the winning argument, then he should come here, mix it up with Democrats, and embarrass us with his information—if that’s what he thinks he can do. Come do that.

Trump: All of the sudden he’s a big shot because he has the US on his side. Either we end it or let him fight it out and if he fights it out, it’s not going to be pretty because without us, he doesn’t win. You saw what I saw today. That was not a man who wanted to make peace

Mamdani on Arch/Ballroom/Club Rose Garden: My message would be that this is not what government has to be. This is not the only vision for what it looks like to have politics in this country—that is so divorced from the needs and wants of everyday people. And what we are looking to show in New York City is an alternative to what has led so many to become disenchanted with the political process. We want to show that not only can government work, but it must, and that at its core, our responsibility is to working people—to ensure that we’re doing everything to make their lives easier. That has to be what drives our actions, and for too long, government has felt more like a distraction than a fulfillment of the needs of the people who’ve been left behind by the politics of today.

Kelly: I think he's not suited to be the leader of our country. When he tries to do something that's pretty significant, he screws it up. Immigration enforcement—what happened in LA and Minneapolis has been a disaster. And now he's going to try to manage a war overseas. We've got the American people have to be evacuated out of 14 different countries. And he's the guy that set up the conditions that got us into whatever this situation is to begin with, because he tore up the Iran nuclear deal

Asmongold says he would not bet on Mizkif prevailing in his lawsuit against Emiru and explains why he thinks the judge approving moving forward with the lawsuit doesn't mean much "Not what I would bet on so far..it's not going to happen (an apology from Emiru in a potential settlement)" "It's bc he basically didn't define it correctly and the judge wants to have a more definitive..that's part of Emi's case and not mine, so I'm not gonna really make a lot of comments on that..to the extent that anything else comes out, I think that it will only further entrench this problem..there are a lot of things that are not public..but when they are made public, I think they'll be very revealing" "U have a lot more to go through than just like one specific thing..and there's a very very long process and something not getting thrown out immediately is like not really that big of a deal"

Listen to what Trump just said about the mystery drones: "I can't tell you who it was or what it was. I can't really tell you. I'd love to tell you actually, but it's not up–it's not a big deal... so obviously it's something that I know about and it's not a problem at all." He almost said "but it's not up to me". All roads lead to Galactic Federation.

Stephen Jackson on what he learned from playing for Gregg Popovich: “I learned how to be a professional. I learned how to prepare. You know what I’m saying? I learned this is not just this is a job. You know what I’m saying? I learned how to be accountable. Like a lot of things that I didn’t know by just playing basketball or going into playing an organization. Bro, you got to be held accountable for you, you got to show up every night, do your job. It’s a way you got to handle yourself to the media and in public. They got certain exceptions. We got to make it to the Western Conference Finals or if we ain’t making it we failed. And whoever part of that, you might not be here next year. They got a certain standard and that they set in San Antonio that would never leave, bro.” (Via Out The Mud Podcast)

Q: Do you think it's appropriate to subpoena family members of journalists to find out information? Trump: I don't know what's appropriate and what's not. Barack Obama did it all the time. You know that but when Obama does it, it's okay. When I do it, it's not.

Collins: You are not very defensive of those comments that were made at the Nixon library. You seem to be saying, you know, you don't seem to be defending them very much. Jennings: There's some things about the Richard Nixon presidency that I, uh, think are worthy of mention and worthy of admiration and there are things that are not. Collins: That's not the point the vice president made. He didn't say, look at what Nixon did with China. We're doing something similar to that. He was saying, look at watergate. It would have never taken down a president today. It would have been a 12 hour story. And actually it was the deep state who took Nixon down. I mean, he was specifically talking about watergate. He wasn't talking about Nixon's other achievements

MacFarlane: Are you concerned about the president’s mental wellbeing? Balint: 100%. I don’t know how anyone can see what he posts or watch him in any meeting and think he’s fit for office. I’m absolutely concerned about it, and I know my Republican colleagues are too—they just won’t say it out loud. There is no filter anymore. The fact that he will call a member of the press a bitch, the fact that he will call people piggy or stupid—this is not normal behavior. But we continue to normalize it by not calling it out for what it is.
