I wonder what’s gonna happen to mafumom here. I don’t think she feels guilty, but she’s clearly doubting herself about her choices. She’s very flawed as a person, but she’s not completely evil like people make her out to be. I’m not sure things will be entirely resolved, though.

exactly, after all it was pretty implied she had probably been pressured/abused just as she is applying too... she's human too after all but nonetheless doesn't excuse her behaviour, just explains why she's like this and she's very well written imo :)

I think she's still a little shocked by what happened. I mean, if I put myself in her shoes I would be as confused as her. She wanted the best for her daughter but she displayed it in the wrong way, hurting all parties. She's not evil or a witch just a human who made a mistake

i like the way mafumom is being portrayed here - she’s in denial, she’s doubting herself, she doesn’t want to believe that she’s been hurting the precious child she loves so, so much. but she has, and that’s the truth, and this feels so realistic.
