#Belagavi: Bus Conductor Attacked for Asking Passenger to Speak in Kannada A group of Marathi youth allegedly assaulted bus conductor Mahadev near Sulebhavi-Balekundri villages in Belagavi taluk on Friday after he requested a passenger to speak in Kannada. The clash erupted when a young woman asked for two tickets in Marathi, and the conductor replied that he didn’t understand the language, asking her to speak in #Kannada. The group then stopped the moving bus and attacked him. Mahadev, who was injured in the assault, was taken to Belagavi BIMS Hospital for treatment. Marihal police arrested three accused within hours and produced them in court, where they were remanded to judicial custody for 14 days. The accused underwent a medical check-up at the district hospital before being sent to Hindalaga jail.

A Northeast Indian man, Arjun Khatri, who has been living in Bengaluru for 20 years, has a serious complaint: “Bengaluru people don’t let us learn Kannada.” We’ve been saying this from the beginning: The moment someone from outside the state gets off the bus or train, speak to them in Kannada. Insist on using Kannada at shops and establishments. There are lakhs of non-Kannadigas who love Karnataka and happily speak Kannada. Just converse with them in Kannada. #WATCH | Reasi bus terror attack: Ranjit Singh, Manager of the Bus Booking Company whose bus came under attack, says, "The bus used to ply from Katra to Shiv Khori daily, booking occurred daily. But we had never thought that this could happen to our vehicle. We used to hear of things like this in Kashmir but this area was safe. We never thought that this could happen to us. As soon as the bus left in the morning, we received a call at 5 o'clock that there had been firing on our vehicle...When we did a little investigation, we came to know that it was an attack by militants...Passengers told us that the militant got into the bus and told the driver to make the passengers deboard the bus. Driver sensed that the man was a militant. He refused to make the passengers deboard, he sped up the bus. As soon as he sped up the bus, the militant fired a bullet. The bus lost balance but the driver kept driving. When the driver didn't stop, he (militant) shot him in the head and killed him...Then the conductor took hold of the steering. As soon as he did that, the militant shot 3-4 bullets at the conductor too. He killed them both. The bus lost balance and fell into a gorge. Had the driver not shown a presence of mind, no passenger would have survived. They might have even set the bus on fire. The driver did good and sacrificed himself for the 40 passengers."

The bus, registered in #TamilNadu (TN21AU2699), was intercepted on R.G. Road around 3:00 pm following a tip-off. PSI Azaruddin M.S. and his team found multiple provocative slogans on the vehicle, including “Bombay #Underworld Dawood the Real Don”, “D Gangs of #Mumbai”, and “Real Criminal Don”. Officials stated that such glorification of a designated terrorist posed a direct threat to public order and national integrity, especially as the bus had begun attracting attention from local groups. The bus, operated by a #Coimbatore-based travel agency, was carrying 48 engineering students on a college trip to Dandeli in #UttaraKannada district. Police arranged an alternative vehicle to ensure the students’ safe return after the seizure. A suo motu case has been registered against the driver and owner under Section 197(1)(d) of the BNS, 2023. While the driver claimed he was only hired for the trip and had no knowledge of the stickers, police have summoned the owner, based in Coimbatore, to join the inquiry. From 1 May, Maharashtra is applying a rule of knowing basic Marathi on Auto and Taxi drivers in state. They will go to a registration centre to read, write, and speak Marathi. I support it. While some might feel this is outrageous and unions are deciding to protest, it is not really a high expectation. I don’t understand how you never tried to learn the language while working in Maharashtra for decades. Most signboards are in Marathi, you meet Marathi speaking people daily, you just catch the language naturally. You have to be stubborn to not to use it. While I support this language requirement for auto & taxi drivers, I would also like to see it applied in corporate & other jobs as they are the ones who are most ignorant for the language. Just add some more days for learning how to write. Marathis love the literature. Most people I know have read some poet or some writer. Many of them love to write on their own. The language sentiment comes from this love for literature. They cannot see it perish and we must respect it. Jai Maharashtra!

Usually 'Enemy States' is a term used for enemy countries, but now it is used to address non-BJP ruled states. Modi Govt is weaponizing Central Schemes to promote investments to Gujarat and only Gujarat! Union Govt is supposed to be impartial, but even Maharashtra which is a BJP ruled state is also considered an enemy state. We are not against Gujarat's development. Brand Karnataka or Breakdown Karnataka? Shocking State of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation This is the current condition of buses in Karnataka KSRTC , and it raises serious concerns about passenger safety and accountability. Just look at the shocking state of maintenance the accelerator is being held in place with a strip of cloth tied inside the bus. The driver’s seat is in an equally alarming condition, crudely fixed with wires instead of being properly repaired or replaced. On top of that, there appears to be liquid leaking from the bus tyre area, which could indicate a serious mechanical issue. These are not minor defects they are clear signs of negligence. Is this what is being promoted as “Brand Karnataka”? Are citizens truly safe while traveling in such buses? Public transport is supposed to be reliable and secure, especially for daily commuters who depend on it. Instead, passengers are being forced to risk their lives every single day. If something unfortunate happens, who will be held responsible? It certainly won’t be the driver, who is forced to operate such poorly maintained vehicles under pressure. The responsibility lies entirely with the authorities and the government, who have failed to ensure basic safety standards. Here’s more video of the person who assaulted me earlier today. This man (?) ran up to me and punched me in the face as I was crossing a crosswalk, and then jumped on a bus which was right there. I went on the bus get his image for the police, and was then assaulted again. He’s shrieking that I am hurting him even though I’m not touching him. In fact, I’m backing away. He then crawls forward, grabs my signs, and pulls me towards him. 1 of 2

EXCLUSIVE VIDEO: Late last night in Darién Gap Panama, I spotted a migrant bus transporting a bus full of invaders from Africa. The bus stopped in front of the San Vicente Migrant camp in Darien Gap to drop someone off. While the door was open, I hopped on the bus and started filming. I asked the driver who the owner was, where he was going, and why he was transporting migrants in the middle of the night. I spoke to the driver in Spanish and he refused to tell me who the owner of the bus was, but he confirmed the passengers were all migrants on their way to Costa Rica. All of the migrants in Darien Gap must pay $60 to get on a bus to Costa Rica which is part of the route to the United States via the Mexican border. These “migrants” are all headed to the US from the migrant camp in Panama. The driver didn’t want me filming and called his supervisor to ask him how he should handle me. I would have ridden the bus all the way to Costa Rica if he would have let me stay on. But I had to get off. Several of the Africans were wearing tribal outfits. The driver was clearly nervous that I was asking about who owns the busses and why they are transporting them at night from Las Blancas migrant camp. These invaders are Fresh off the boat (literally) in Darien, and now they are en route to the United States. From Costa Rica, the invaders then go to Nicaragua, Honduras, and then to Mexico where they enter the US via California or Texas. This is how the invasion is taking place. Don’t listen to the media when they tell you that it’s a conspiracy theory to say that migrants are being bussed around the world in the middle of the night. This is human trafficking caught on camera.

According to rules 4, 22, 78, and 85 of the Maharashtra Motor Vehicles Rules 1989, rickshaw drivers should know practical Marathi language. They should know Marathi language when communicating with passengers—this is the role and sentiment of our administration. In this regard, for the past 3 months, we have been teaching practical Marathi language to all our Hindi-speaking brothers... Leaders had demanded time for this work, so we have also given 100 days... If they do not learn Marathi by August 15, action will be taken from August 16. So far, as action, a fine of Rs 500 was fixed... But now that will not happen. Even after repeated fines, if someone does not follow the law, we also have the right to cancel their license."
