Trump called Sundar Pichai a “monster” — and meant it as a compliment. But behind the joke is a bigger story about India’s AI talent. India has the talent. America has been getting the talent. #WATCH | Delhi: BJP MP Tejasvi Surya says, "Chief Minister of Karnataka, DK Shivakumar, had called a meeting today of all MPs across parties representing Karnataka here at Karnataka Bhavan. We had a detailed discussion on the projects, proposals and initiatives of the Karnataka government that need support from the government of India. There is a bipartisan consensus on most of the projects which benefit the state of Karnataka. Once the state government submits the proposals regarding these projects and other pending clearances that are required from the Government of India in the prescribed manner, all of us will push for the project to get cleared and the support to be given to those projects from the Government of India. We will work together in a bipartisan spirit for the speedy development of Karnataka."

#WATCH | Bengaluru, Karnataka: Chief Minister DK Shivakumar says, "...I recently had a programme with our Prime Minister in Mysuru. I told him that the world is looking at India through Bengaluru. Many people do not know India, but they know Bengaluru and Karnataka because of the talent and support...Today, India has 140 international schools, of which 38 are in Karnataka, serving students from different parts of the world. We seek deeper partnerships involving universities, startups and research for young people...I just want to sum up by saying that the establishment of a full-fledged US Consulate in Bengaluru will further deepen our relationship. I have been waiting for this great opportunity. We don't want people to have to go to Chennai or Mumbai for these services..."

CM DK Shivakumar held an engaging discussion with over 200 GCC leaders, seeking their insights on what Karnataka must do to accelerate the next phase of growth. Through the KATALYST program, the Government is opening new doors for GCCs to partner meaningfully with the state across key areas: NIPUNA — reskilling and upskilling talent for the future economy. Elevate NxT — mentoring, incubation, pilots, client access and co-investment opportunities for DeepTech startups. Centres of Excellence — partnerships that provide access to advanced technologies and innovation ecosystems. AI University — building future-ready talent and research capabilities. Government First — access to anonymized public datasets, testbeds and government infrastructure to solve real-world challenges. Our message is clear: Karnataka is not just home to GCCs. We are partners in their progress.
