This hotel employee was giving a courtesy to the guest by knocking on the door at 10:45 am as a reminder that check out is at 11am. The man freaks out on her because he claims she did it at 10:42am instead of 10:45am. He felt she was out of line and in typical fashion is demanding to speak to the owner about her. Was she out of line for giving him a courtesy reminder even if it was 3 minutes before the normal courtesy?

This teacher picked up a student’s phone that was left on her desk, and of course the first thing she did was try to figure out whose it was. What she found on the lock screen completely freaked her out. There were multiple different pictures of her — the student had clearly downloaded them and set them as the wallpaper on purpose. She was straight-up shocked… and then laughed and said the student’s mission was officially accomplished because she was genuinely creeped out! A friend of mine is a highly neurotic doctor. When she was in the throes of her residency program she convinced herself she had a rare form of cancer. This particular form of cancer is almost symptomless until it metastasizes. This fear was making her question her continued medical training. Her husband pointed out that this was a misplaced fear of missing out on life, since she was spending 12-16 hours in the hospital a day. The fear of a phantom disease was masking her questioning her desire to continue to be a doctor. Why is she spending all this time on something when the end is near? That’s all I hear when people bring up massive world ending issues as excuses to not hit life milestones.
