Every NFL player says he can play. The fans and the media are the delusional ones.

The Patriots have only themselves to blame for the "Mac Jones situation." After a decent rookie year, to be turned over to 2 defense coaches put a screeching halt to his development. Even Bill O'Brien hasn't helped him out of the hole they dug for their first-round draft pick.

Yup starting QB like 31 other teams doesn't mean he's good.

Matt Maiocco on Mac Jones possibly being the 49ers longterm backup quarterback: “I would not rule out the possibility that Mac Jones is around for a while. There’s a lot of moving parts, like what they think of Kurtis Rourke, is certainly one part of it. But if Brock Purdy stays out there the entire season like he did in 2023, and plays at a very high level, will there be that discussion around Mac Jones that there was at the end of this season? The discussion around Mac Jones was all media driven that there was going to be this incredible market for trading him, but if Mac Jones doesn’t get off the sideline this coming season, is there any team that would view him as a starter in 2027? If there’s not a team willing to make Mac Jones a starter, that means that he’s a backup and he would get backup money. That’s what the 49ers would want him for to. I’m not so sure that Mac Jones could not fit into that role of Steve Bono and kind of be a longterm backup for the 49ers.”

A reporter asked Mac Jones what the trip to Germany could do for the team in terms of bonding (he accidentally said balding) Then Mac Jones points at the guy’s bald head and says “bald” 💀 Mac is a savage for that 😂 (Chris Mason / @SavageSports_)

Brian Cashman has a TOUGH call to make with Spencer Jones: 1. Keep Spencer Jones, running the risk that he doesn't pan out and being ridiculed for not cashing in. 2. Trade Spencer Jones, and risk seeing him become a power-hitting centerfielder elsewhere. What would you do?

The extended riff from Chiefs DT Chris Jones on college NIL that is 💯 hilarious and 💯 true. It started with Jones saying he was going to donate to Mississippi State to keep QB Kamario Taylor and ended with Jones advocating for a college salary cap.
