⛰️ I just… I just like working hard. Whatever it is. You only get one life, right? So I just want to work hard without any regrets. Because I don’t think I’d be happy if I were loved without working hard. Then this time, after consistently working hard for 8 years, I received love, and only then, when I felt it myself, I realized, “Woah, I’m really being loved right now.” So I’m grateful that it turned out that way. If I hadn’t worked hard and had just gotten by on talent, and if I had just gotten lucky, I don’t think I would’ve been that happy. So I’m just going to keep doing what I’ve been doing and keep working hard consistently. You all recognize it/notice it (my efforts), actually - so that’s what I’m grateful for. It’s also important that I acknowledge my own efforts, but I’m really grateful when other people acknowledge my efforts too. And the sense of fulfillment I get from that is really big too. It wasn’t all hardship, there was excitement too, but until it comes out, I keep thinking I have to make something good. So, the album is coming out, should I do music shows or not? But music shows are hard for you to come to. Still, some of you want to watch it on TV, so don’t even think about not doing it.. If I don’t do music shows, even if I work hard on the album, people would probably say things to me. Ah, music show fancams…if I don’t do them, it’ll be a problem, huh? But you know, right? No matter what you say to me, I love you. Love beats everything. You’ll make me get first place? It’s okay. You’re already my number one. That’s enough for me. You’re my number one in the world. Suddenly I feel like crying. Whether I get first place or not, that’s not really something we can decide. Saban on the Importance of Nothing: “Let’s talk about the importance of nothing. You get up every day, you’re entitled to nothing. Nobody owes you nothing. “You have talent, but if you don’t have discipline, you don’t execute, you don’t focus, what do you get? Nothing. “If you’re complacent and not paying attention to detail, what does that get you? Nothing. “So, nothing is acceptable but your best. “Everything is determined by what you do and trying to be your best. There should be nothing else but that, for everybody. “That’s what we need to stay focused on. We need to not accept anything but our best in terms of what we’re doing in preparation.” – It’s a simple, but profound message. Some key takeaways: 1. Entitlement is a disease. It stunts growth and erodes culture. 2. Success has a one-day life cycle. Yesterday doesn’t dictate today. 3. Nobody is owed anything. When your feet hit the floor in the morning, it’s on you. 4. Bookmark this practice called: The Neuro-Fascial Release Techique. In order to be physically and mentally healthy, our vagus nerve has to be functioning properly. When our vagus nerve functions properly were in primarily in what’s called social engagement mode. We’re also flexible and able to react appropriately to stress. We’re less susceptible to disease because our immune system is functioning at its best. You can practice this as often as you make time for. Ideally daily— or any time you want to get back to a parasympathetic state. Test your mobility before and after doing this practice. And if you can— journal after. Notice how your emotions change when you help your body do so what it naturally does. TO PRACTICE: You’ll feel the occipital bone at the base of your skull. Press firmly, but NOT too hard. Move the skin to the right and hold. Then to the left. Keep breathing. This practice was created by Stanley Rosenberg who through polyvagal theroy (Dr. Stephen Porges) initiatively understood that trauma is stored within the body. His work with clients focused on somatic practices, specially clients with depression, anxiety, and other “disorders” that are actually adaptions. 🦋 so with my same-age friend, jeongwoo, we said we'd try to make it to diamond, and we played together. but it ended kind of awkwardly 👤 what about that friend? 🦋 that friend? i think he made it all the way to master?
