When I was deployed to Iraq and then twice to Afghanistan, USAID was all over the place. They'd get brought into high-level intel briefings and start briefing on all these numerous BS things they were doing and I remember sitting there so many times as our guys were getting blown up on the battlefield and we were attending ramp cermonies daily, thinking "what the entire F is this shit all about?" Shady and completely full of shit. It makes me blood boil to this day. And this was 16 years ago.
