While he’s hardly anyone’s patron saint here, his basic point was counter-cyclical policy: run surpluses or at least tighten belts in the boom, then spend what you’ve accumulated and tolerate deficits in the bust to stop a collapse in demand. That’s the whole “good times/bad times” rhythm you’re mangling. You’ve turned it into a straw man, set it on fire, and congratulated yourself for inventing heat. And yes, Keynes was writing in the world of a gold standard, where the constraint is real and physical. The logic doesn’t magically vanish because you change the unit. If you had a bitcoin standard, you don’t get more bitcoin by decree any more than you get more gold by signing a press release. The supply is fixed by the rules, so the only way credit expands is through banking layers — meaning fractional-reserve behaviour on top of a hard base. It’s the same mechanism with a different label. So no, this isn’t some deep dunk on Keynes. It’s a reminder that you can dislike a theory without hallucinating a new one to dislike. Try reading the text you’re parodying before you announce that you’ve defeated it.

Inflation is how the government steals your money. Your money loses value over time as the economy grows because they print money to steal that increase. If they didn't print money, your dollar would grow with the economy. Don't believe the lie that inflation is good. It's only good for the elites.
