In doing the “Inward Lotus Turn,” one of the most basic turns in classical Chinese dance, the dancer begins with both legs in a grounded stance. As the active leg hooks inward, the torso winds up to generate torque and then twists into a rotation. While you can clearly see the beginning, middle, and end of this classic move here, it would appear much faster on stage, so be on the lookout if you’re at one of our performances!
