This mindset is poisonous and totally misleading. There are only select few that can sustain such a relationship. Professional men prefer women who are easy to maintain and not constantly spending money on accessories. If you've earned at least 6 figures for any length of time, you realize that this kind of relationship drains all that you can offer, and when you stop investing, it's done. My advice is to find someone who doesn't require frequent financial offerings outside of caring for them in a reasonable fashion.
