I love Keith and have since I was a kid. (I’m 66.) The irony is that it is much easier to technically skilled than it is to come up with a few dozen unforgettable riffs. 🤣

Do you think Keith Richards is not technically proficient? That would be like saying Hemingway can’t write because he doesn’t use long sentences

Keith’s guitar tuning made his playing unique..Mick Taylor was always the most impressive player of the stones

Keith is as proficient as he should be. He plays to the song and the people. Not us guitar nerds. It's been working for him.

Sympathy For The Devil has some of the worst lead ever😅. That said, the main Honky Tonk Woman riff is one of my favorites😭🤷‍♂️

Given the choice between great song writer or great player I’d rather be Keith than Vai every day. The. Immortality would be pretty cool too

Everyone that picks up a guitar aspires to be as cool as Keith Richards. The man is effortless and without peer.

I find for me there’s a trade off between practicing technique a ton versus just playing what you hear in your head. I spend most of my time on technique vs having fun playing and I find sometimes I get stuck trying to play what I’m practicing instead of expresisng what I feel
