I guess the only options fans have these days when they go to live performances of their favorite singers is either a full-on sex/burlesque show or a no-frills, karaoke-style sing-a-long. I don’t know why people even bother to do all that is necessary to attend a live performance anymore. It’s not just about cost. There’s the making of free time, scheduling, travel, possibly lodging, parking, security checks, dealing with crowds and weird people, expensive merch and concession, uncomfortable and packed-in seating, then the waiting for the entertainer to appear (usually late). All that just to have some arrogant, rich bitch (or asshole) entertainer come out and do lousy versions of the RECORDED music and be forced to hear them ignorantly rant about political issues. I just don’t see the fun in any of that.
