First look at the new Deadlock hero - Celeste! 1️⃣ Light Eater - Blast enemies in a cone in front of you with a flare of light. Enemies hit take spirit damage when attacked by Celeste and provides spirit lifesteal. 2️⃣ Dazzling Trick - Surround yourself in a protective prism that provides bonus move speed. If the barrier is destroyed, it silences nearby enemies and deals a portion of the barrier as damage. 3️⃣ Radiant Daggers - Call down a beam of light from the sky. After a short duration, the beam will fully form, causing an explosion that deals spirit damage to all targets in the area. Celeste will receive a stacking buff that increases her spirit damage anytime this hits an enemy hero. 4️⃣ Shining Wonder - Launch a deadly orb of light that deals spirit damage and applies slow and reduces Dash Distance on impact. The orb then bounces to the nearest enemy within range. If no target is found, the orb will linger for a short duration while continuing to look for targets. It's not every day that Coney Island's biggest star, The Dazzling Celeste, performs on the streets of Manhattan. Her show begins with Light Eater, where a deep breath lit by her blazing baton coats enemies in front of her, and grants increased damage against them. Following that up, she envelops herself in the prismatic shield of her Dazzling Trick, which explodes and silences nearby enemies who break it. Try not to get distracted by her gliding gracefully through the air, or by the dance of her Radiant Daggers, as you'll regret being underneath them when they rain down from above. As for her memorable final act, the Shining Wonder will make her allies go OOH and her foes go AGGHHH! - "You are about to see something rare and wonderful!"

First look at the new Deadlock hero - Venator! 1️⃣ Consecrating Grenade - Fire a grenade that bounces before exploding, dealing weapon damage and setting enemies on fire. Burning targets deal pure damage to enemies in the area and suffer from reduced healing. 2️⃣ Gutshot - Fire a blast with your shotgun, dealing weapon damage and pushing enemies back. Enemies near a wall receive stun and take bonus weapon damage. 3️⃣ Hex-Lined Snap Trap - Kick a trap that arms after a brief delay. The trap springs on the first enemy it touches, dealing spirit damage, applying immobilize, and revealing enemies for a duration afterwards. 4️⃣ Ira Dominii - Load your crossbow with 3 stakes, dealing massively increased weapon damage. The final stake is blessed, dealing bonus pure damage and executing low-health enemies. Venator doesn't walk the righteous path, he blazes the trail so that others may do so safely. His biggest challenge is knowing which weapon to use first. Firing a Consecrating Grenade into the fray softens up his enemies and keeps them from restoring health, and his Hex-Lined Snap Trap scatters across the ground to lock them in place. A Gutshot from his shotgun will knock back enemies who get too close, and when the time is right, Ira Domini will rid the world of evil once and for all. - "Today, nine commandments will have to do."

Rat King's abilities and animations in Deadlock: Scrap Grenade - Throw a grenade of scrap that detonates multiple times, dealing bullet damage and applying slow. The grenade can be meleed to knock it away. Rat Swarm - Call forth a swarm of rats that leap onto enemies, dealing spirit damage over time and reducing their bullet resist with every bite. The more rats are attached, the faster they will bite the target. Enemies can have multiple rats attached, but can shake off a rat early by performing a ground or air dash. Royal Pestments - Adorn scrappy armor, gaining barrier based on your max health. As long as the armor holds, bullets have a chance to be deflected back towards the attacker. The barrier does not benefit from resists. Rule, Ratannia! - Summon the banner of Ratannia and charge into battle to claim the area by slamming the banner into the ground, causing an explosive eruption from the sewers. Rat King and nearby ally heroes have increased Movement Speed, are unaffected by slows, and take reduced damage while near the banner. Rat King can slam the banner into the ground to plant it, causing the sewers below to violently erupt, dealing bullet damage while applying knockup and slow to all enemies while they remain in the area. Once planted, rats will swarm out of the sewers, applying Rat Swarm to enemies they hit. And he can also squeeze in the tunnels! #deadlock

First look at the new Deadlock hero - Apollo! 1️⃣ Disengaging Sigil - Draw a sigil sphere in front of you and then leap backwards as it explodes, damaging and slowing enemies caught in it. 2️⃣ Riposte - Prepare to deflect the next incoming attack. On a successful deflection, briefly become invulnerable, before performing a dash forward that stuns an enemy and reduces their Bullet Resist. 3️⃣ Flawless Advance - Perform a series of lunges in any direction, delivering piercing stabs ahead of you. Hold your ability key to time your attacks, dealing more damage the longer it's held. Releasing your attack during the perfect window deals maximum damage. 4️⃣ Itani Lo Sahn - Charge up and perform a long range slash. Struck enemies are cursed and stuck in slow motion. When this effect expires, they suffer devastating damage, dealing bonus damage against half-health enemies. While in slow motion, Apollo is invulnerable and enemies take reduced damage. After weeks of waiting, Apollo finally graces us with his presence. With Flawless Advance the fencer begins his approach, timing his strikes perfectly to inflict more damage. Counter-attacks aren't a concern for Apollo, as a flourish of his blade deflects the damage and triggers a quick Riposte, and Disengaging Sigil allows him to jump out of the fray with ease. For his final blow, Apollo dons his fencer's mask and channels Ixia's might with Itani Lo Sahn, leaving enemies defeated in his wake. - "Sa la rex vogali!"

Enemies and Gold Nodes can now drop Weapons ⚔️, Armor , and Shoes. Items come in Common, Rare, Epic, and the extremely rare Mythic rarity, with higher rarities granting better stats. Everything is tradeable on the Marketplace. Equip gear in the Equipment Panel, gain bonus stats, and visit the Blacksmith to upgrade your items up to +3 but be careful, failed upgrades will destroy the item. Good luck hunting for Mythics! 🔥✨ (and good luck upgrading them 😅) Also, there was a small UX update: you can now set the distance at which health bars become visible around your character.

$One of the most tedious (but critical tasks) for software development teams is updating foundational software. It’s not new feature work, and it doesn’t feel like you’re moving the experience forward. As a result, this work is either dreaded or put off for more exciting work—or both. Amazon Q, our GenAI assistant for software development, is trying to bring some light to this heaviness. We have a new code transformation capability, and here’s what we found when we integrated it into our internal systems and applied it to our needed Java upgrades: - The average time to upgrade an application to Java 17 plummeted from what’s typically 50 developer-days to just a few hours. We estimate this has saved us the equivalent of 4,500 developer-years of work (yes, that number is crazy but, real). - In under six months, we've been able to upgrade more than 50% of our production Java systems to modernized Java versions at a fraction of the usual time and effort. And, our developers shipped 79% of the auto-generated code reviews without any additional changes. - The benefits go beyond how much effort we’ve saved developers. The upgrades have enhanced security and reduced infrastructure costs, providing an estimated $260M in annualized efficiency gains. This is a great example of how large-scale enterprises can gain significant efficiencies in foundational software hygiene work by leveraging Amazon Q. It’s been a game changer for us, and not only do our Amazon teams plan to use this transformation capability more, but our Q team plans to add more transformations for developers to leverage.$
