Just landed back in Nashville TN after being in Oklahoma and College Station for the first round of the playoffs. In less than 24 hours Kalen DeBoer beat Oklahoma and Kenny Dillingham signed an extension with ASU. If you are Michigan and it was those two guys then everyone else, let’s not just hire someone to hire someone. The next coach needs to be our coach for the next Decade. We’re gonna lose players regardless of who we hire even if it was our first two choices. 2026 coaching cycle we can be at the front of it, make the right choice for long term success. Maybe it’s time we consider Biff Poggi for next year. For the record, whoever we hire I’m going to give them as much support as I possibly can, the timing of everything is worst case.

Knicks pull off a Game 4 W for the ages. My takeaways: -The Spurs need a heartbreak to prep for their eventual Championship, and tonight was it. Every great team has gone through this. They'll cry in the locker room tonight and be better for it in the coming seasons -I never felt SAS' lead was safe. The Knicks are the more mature team, they're physical, and they smell blood when it's in the water. You can't let a team like that hang around. You gotta kill them off fully -Experience is trumping talent in this series. The Spurs are the most talented team left, but the "somewhat" talented, ultra-experienced extremely gritty Knicks know how to close. Last year's heartbreak, imo, against Indiana built this -Beat the Spurs now. Because Wemby and Dylan Harper for the next 10 years is scary.

I’m sorry y’all, but as a real, true, authentic New Yorker… I just can’t get with this Mamdani grift. One year you’re naming Tom Thibodeau when asked to name a current Knick. The next year you’re giving a Knicks championship speech like you’ve been living and breathing Knicks basketball your entire life. And to be fair, it was a good speech. He’s a talented speaker. He’s a great orator. But that’s exactly why I’m skeptical. Because the most effective politicians know how to make themselves feel familiar. They learn what people care about. They learn the language. They learn the culture. And then they wrap themselves in it. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Zohran Mamdani has been the biggest Knicks fan in New York this entire time. But as a real, true, authentic New Yorker, something about this doesn’t feel organic to me. It feels manufactured. It feels calculated. It feels like branding. The Storyline of a Knicks vs Cavs Eastern Conference Finals would be pretty insane When you consider both teams were built in the aftermath of the Donovan Mitchell Sweepstakes in the summer of 2022. The Cavs acquired Donovan Mitchell from the Utah Jazz after talks broke down with Leon Rose. Leon, who already signed Jalen Brunson, pivoted to extending RJ Barrett and delayed his search for a superstar for another time. That SAME YEAR, the Knicks beat Donovan Mitchell and the Cavs in the playoffs. The Knicks officially become Jalen Brunson’s team and start building the roster around him. Trading RJ Barrett and Immanuel Quickley for OG Anunoby. In the following offseason, trading 5 firsts for Mikal Bridges and trading Julius Randle and Donte Divencenzo for Karl Anthony Towns to complete the build around Jalen Brunson. All of this was done in the aftermath of Leon Rose “failing” to acquire Donovan Mitchell in 2022. Now, 4 years later, Leon and the roster he built can prove he made the right decision by building around Jalen Brunson instead and get to the NBA Finals. On the other side, you have Donovan Mitchell, who would be playing in his first conference finals. Donovan Mitchell, who is also from New York, and would love nothing more than to beat the Knicks to get to the NBA Finals. This is not even mentioning the fact that James Harden would have an opportunity to get to the NBA Finals for the first time as an established Star in this league and get a chance at an elusive Ring that clouds his legacy. Whoever comes out of the EAST would feature a roster built around a small guard, which has been theorized as unwise to do, if you want to win at the highest level. I would love the matchup. Take a moment to watch this prophetic exchange between Shaq and KAT from last February. This was brutally honest advice from an NBA legend. We are now watching it manifest into being, with the Knicks en route to a championship and KAT as MVP. And doing it against the freak of nature that is Victor Wembanyama. Shaq: “At the beginning of the game, I said you were playing soft because I’ve seen you at times when you play great. And what you must understand in New York is that you need to be great for your guys to win a championship. If you guys win a championship, of course they’re gonna talk about Brunson, but it’s you and your play; you have to be dominant. You responded very, very well; you played very well. You played in the paint. That’s how you should play. You should always play.” KAT: “For sure, but what you said too is, if we win a championship, they can talk about anybody as long as we get a ring, that’s the most important thing, I don’t care. I don’t care about any of that.” Shaq: “No, but you’ve got to play great. This man lives next door to this yard. His neighbor’s two Doberman’s got out. He takes the time to round them up and bring them back to their yard. They are giving him a lot of grief. They seem friendly enough but they don’t want to go back inside, they want to play. You can tell this isn’t his first rodeo with them. To have a neighbor like this is being rich in life. What a great guy. Not only did he save them from possibly creating some havoc but he saved them from getting hurt. Having a neighbor like this, you just can’t put a price on that. 💯 Do you have neighbors that would go above and beyond like this and do this for you and your dogs?

Knicks win the NBA Finals. My quick thoughts: -Team of destiny. Every game this series they were down double digits and found a way to win 4. That's grit, and it's an embodiment of the city itself. Knicks win the NBA Finals. My quick thoughts: -Team of destiny. Every game this series they were down double digits and found a way to win 4. That's grit, and it's an embodiment of the city itself.
