He does such a good job with two things specifically (besides the amazing animation overall) 1: his use of the environment. They truly feel like they’re fighting in a real space. 2. The shading. He’s super consistent with it which allows him to keep the models on point.

Mappa is master for copy paste all time and pass it off as references, but when you spend all your time making references, where's the originality? I've watched so many anime, and sometimes I see scenes from old anime and think, “I've seen this scene somewhere before,” "mappa"
