On January 2, Russia has fired at least two missiles into residential areas and the city of Kharkiv. Dozens of civilians were injured, including a six-month-old baby. Rescue teams and all emergency services continue working on site. This is how Russia treats human life – continuing to kill civilians despite all international diplomatic efforts, including those led by the U.S. Russia alone refuses to end this war. Ukraine needs continued international support, including stronger air defence.

Russia attacks Ukraine daily, and it has absolutely no problems with targeting civilians. ◾️ Kharkiv: 40 people are injured as a result of two KAB bombs hitting the city. 6 of them are children, and 2 of them are pregnant women. Six victims are currently in the hospital, including two children: a 17-year-old boy and a one-year-old girl. One victim is in serious condition; ◾️ Cherkasy: Russia attacked the city with 4 cruise missiles. A Radio Liberty film crew came under attack by Russian drones in Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region. Traveling to and around the city is currently dangerous due to the number of Russian drone attacks. To reduce the risk, Ukrainian Defenders are installing anti-drone nets over roads, both in the city and on its approaches. During one such operation, the agency's film crew was with soldiers from the 24th Mechanized Brigade of the AFU, who were installing protective nets and repelling drone attacks, and captured footage of Russian drones approaching. 📹: Radio Liberty

What kind of "democracy" bans its own people from celebrating the end of WWII? This is the border between Estonia and Russia. On one side (Russia), people are celebrating Victory Day. On the other side (Estonia), under a "democratic" regime, people have to go to the Russian border just to mark Victory Day because they are not allowed to do it freely in their own country.

I passed this central square every day for two years between 2010-12 and lived just in the building on the right. The square was filled with roses. The city used to bustle with people. After one of the longest and bloodiest battles of Russia’s invasion, it can’t sustain life.
