Someone calls anonymously on the phone to the cops, makes an uncorroborated and unsubstantiated allegation, the cops treat it like it came from the Supreme Court or God and accost, detain, search, interrogate, identify, inconvenience, and publicly embarrass an innocent person...based on the say of a unidentified disembodied voice over the phone. WTF. I wonder how the cops would feel about that protocol if that happened to their mother.
