All crowdsourcing entities keep a small percent for maintaining their site’s overhead. Actblue is not the lowest (Gofundme’s is 2.9% for example but I saw one for the firefighters at 10% 😳) but still pretty low for crowdsourcing & it makes sense a senator would use it first.
