These clips just solidify my opinion that the current era of NBA basketball is unwatchable.

How many times did he pop his teammates in the face before they recognized that they better have their hands up and be ready for anything. All around game was amazing.

This is what separates Bird. Great shooter/scorer. Rock solid defender. But the open play passing, from a 6’9” forward. Pure genius.

I was a Lakers fan and couldn’t stand Bird and the Celtics back then. But as I get older I can appreciate how good he really was. One of the best all around games in NBA history. Imagine what he could have done without the back issues that plagued him for most of his career.

Larry Bird never ever gets old. Kids today just don’t know
