Killing someone just because they don't agree with your ideas is extremely dangerous, and there's an entire ecosystem working behind it. My account may get withheld in India soon—some well-known Sikh leaders are trying their best to make that happen. I know all of them, and I've been told...

Zack Snyder on his dyslexia: "It was a challenge for me when I was, you know, young in school, and all I wanted to do was make movies because that was the thing that I got great pleasure from and reward from. I love books, and I'm an avid reader, but I just have a hard time because of the way that I perceive. "I've had a great sort of - one side of me anyways - was really satisfied by art and drawing and sculpture and sort of visual expression. And I think that that started to, you know, was the thing that kind of made me feel un-frustrated. And also the way the system was designed, sort of not to support me when I was in high school at that time. "It was very difficult, you know, there was a lot of, you know, just, difficulty. My English teacher in high school was worried about what my career would be, and I'm like. He would be happy to know that I'm in the Writers Guild of America now. "But, I think that that all those things are, they're all... you can transcend all those things with perseverance and with interest and with with help. And I think that that's an important part of it. "And I just think I've had to adapt, and sort of... I have my own style of the way I write, I write all, you know, but I'm pretty prolific. And I love- I listen to tons of audio books on tape, unabridged hours and hours and hours. That's all I do when I'm driving in the car or wherever I'm doing. And it's helped me a lot. "And yeah, I mean, I just hope that anyone who is- feels trapped or frustrated by the world in general. You know, they need to just, I think that we all have like a magic spark, and you need to just find the thing that makes you, you know, inspires you and, and gets you excited and pursue it as hard as you can find your passion in the world. That's a, that's a great motivator."

Sikhs of whole country rejects reprehensible statement made by Chief Minister of Sikkim regarding issue of Gurdwara Sri Guru Dongmar Sahib Chandigarh: Addressing the press today at Chandigarh, the General Secretary of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) Bhai Gurcharan Singh Grewal and secretary of Shiromani Akali Dal Gurjeet Singh Talwandi condemned the statement made by the Chief Minister of Sikkim regarding Gurdwara Sri Guru Dongmar Sahib and said that this place is associated with the visit of Sri Guru Nanak Dev, the first Sikh Guru. The case of this Gurdwara Sahib is sub-judice at the High Court of Sikkim and the decision has been reserved by the honorable court. In violation of the honorable court, the Chief Minister of Sikkim said that under no circumstances will Gurdwara Sahib be allowed to be built, which is highly reprehensible and illogical. The SGPC is committed to maintaining this Gurdwara Sahib as per the Sikh Rehat Maryada (Code of Conduct) as it has an association of the visit of Sri Guru Nanak Dev. While the sentiments of the entire Sikh world have been hurt by the statement given by the Chief Minister of Sikkim, there is also a huge resentment in the community. It was also said by Bhai Grewal and Talwandi that no one will be allowed to commit arbitrary action under any circumstances. The Sikh community can even risk their lives for the maintenance and service of their historical shrines. A 750 page document presented in the court as a reference and evidence in this case, recording the history of the third Sumer Udasi by Sri Guru Nanak Dev was also placed before the press, which has the clear mention of Gurdwara Sri Guru Dongmar Sahib in Sikkim. Burt Lancaster on why Frank Perry was the wrong choice to direct "The Swimmer" (1968) & the directors he felt would have handled it better: "'The Swimmer' (1968) is certainly one of my favorites. It's a John Cheever story and there was the very difficult problem of translating a literary work to the screen. Cheever speaks in the short story of how a man is walking through a lane and he smells a fire, it's an autumn fire; he describes it as the smell of autumn in the air. Well, that kind of thing in writing is lovely, especially in Cheever's phrases, but when you try to get this quality onto film, it requires some kind of approach. I'll say that I don't think Frank Perry was able to do this, and I don't know that any other director would have been. But you certainly need someone like a Fellini or a Truffaut, or someone with that kind of imagination to let the camera also tell your story. Film has its own particular life—regardless of what's actually going on in a film. And it needed some kind of strange, weird approach to capture the audience and make them realize that, in a way, they were not looking at anything real. In talking about the script we would say, "I don't know why two men in white coats don't come take this guy away." It should have been obvious that this man was going through something that was not quite real; it was all part of his imagination. But it was played in a realistic sense—so when you come to the end of that film, instead of being sympathetic and heartbroken for the man, you were surprised and shocked." Jason Day was asked ahead of The Masters whether he has any empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through and he gave a brilliant answer that a lot of people can probably agree with: “So yeah, in regards to Tiger, it just shows the human element and the human side of someone that is struggling with some sort of an addiction. He's not immune to it just because he can hit a golf ball really well. He's had 25 to 30 something surgeries, and when you're going through that many procedures, it's painful coming out of those procedures. I've had procedures done and I typically try and stay away from all that stuff because I just know that -- painkillers, there can potentially be a downfall to it. “Granted, when I look at that, I look at it and go, he's just a human being like everyone else and we have struggles. It's unfortunate, the only thing that I don't understand is that it's a little bit selfish of him to drive and put other people in harm's way, as well. “But when you're the player that he was and how strong-willed he is, he thinks he can do almost anything, and that's probably why he's probably driving and a little bit under the influence. “He was my hero -- he's my hero. He was my hero growing up. The reason why I play golf is because of this tournament and Tiger. It's hard to see him go through what he's going through, and especially under the microscope that -- it must be hard to be who he is and have everything, everyone look on, kind of down on him. “Some people want him to fail. Some people obviously want him to succeed. It's really difficult for me to go through that and watch him, and I know that he's getting the help now, which is good. I'm just hoping he comes out on the other side and is better.” Well said. Jason Day The Masters

🚨| Natalie Pinkham on AD21: "I couldn't explain it to my kids." She speaks on her 'most enduring memory' of that day and maintains that Sir Lewis Hamilton "walked away from that moment with more fans globally than if he'd won an eighth world title because of the way he handled it." : "One of the problems that I had with 2021 personally was I couldn't explain it to my kids, and if I can't explain it to my kids, how can we as broadcasters explain it to the viewers, the public at large? How can anyone really understand it? Not least of all the protagonists, not least of all Lewis, you know." "So I tell you what, for me the most enduring memory of that day was seeing Anthony Hamilton go up and whisper in his son's ear and to this day I've never asked him what he said to his son. I don't want to know because it was such a private moment on a very public stage, but whatever it was, it was enough for Lewis to walk up to Max and shake him by the hand, look him in the eye and I thought, my God, if anything we can take out of this its this incredible moment for children everywhere to see how to deal with adversity and defeat graciously, magnanimously and I still contend to this day that Lewis walked away from that moment with more fans globally than if he'd won an eighth world title because of the way he handled it. It was just incredible." "Yeah, no, and by the way, I didn't want or expect to get drawn into the 2021 thing or take us into it, but I always say as well this wasn't Max's fault, like Max was a deserved winner as well, like you saw some of the performances he put in that season. If you could have split the title in two, both of them were just incredible champions that year and it was a shame that it ended the way it did because actually that overshadowed what was an epic year of racing."
