But this isn't just about Suri or an isolated incident. The case of this Gurdwara Sahib is sub-judice at the High Court of Sikkim and the decision has been reserved by the honorable court. In violation of the honorable court, the Chief Minister of Sikkim said that under no circumstances will Gurdwara Sahib be allowed to be built, which is highly reprehensible and illogical. The SGPC is committed to maintaining this Gurdwara Sahib as per the Sikh Rehat Maryada (Code of Conduct) as it has an association of the visit of Sri Guru Nanak Dev. Burt Lancaster on why Frank Perry was the wrong choice to direct "The Swimmer" (1968) & the directors he felt would have handled it better: "'The Swimmer' (1968) is certainly one of my favorites. It's a John Cheever story and there was the very difficult problem of translating a literary work to the screen. Cheever speaks in the short story of how a man is walking through a lane and he smells a fire, it's an autumn fire; he describes it as the smell of autumn in the air. Well, that kind of thing in writing is lovely, especially in Cheever's phrases, but when you try to get this quality onto film, it requires some kind of approach. I'll say that I don't think Frank Perry was able to do this, and I don't know that any other director would have been. But you certainly need someone like a Fellini or a Truffaut, or someone with that kind of imagination to let the camera also tell your story. Film has its own particular life—regardless of what's actually going on in a film. And it needed some kind of strange, weird approach to capture the audience and make them realize that, in a way, they were not looking at anything real. In talking about the script we would say, "I don't know why two men in white coats don't come take this guy away." It should have been obvious that this man was going through something that was not quite real; it was all part of his imagination. But it was played in a realistic sense—so when you come to the end of that film, instead of being sympathetic and heartbroken for the man, you were surprised and shocked." Jason Day was asked ahead of The Masters whether he has any empathy for what Tiger Woods is going through and he gave a brilliant answer that a lot of people can probably agree with: “So yeah, in regards to Tiger, it just shows the human element and the human side of someone that is struggling with some sort of an addiction. He's not immune to it just because he can hit a golf ball really well. He's had 25 to 30 something surgeries, and when you're going through that many procedures, it's painful coming out of those procedures. I've had procedures done and I typically try and stay away from all that stuff because I just know that -- painkillers, there can potentially be a downfall to it. “Granted, when I look at that, I look at it and go, he's just a human being like everyone else and we have struggles. Very very important This is extremely shocking and the people of India deserve to know this. Last evening, Hon'ble Vice President of India and Rajya Sabha Chairman Sh Jagdeep Dhankar said in the House that "since the last 25 years, I have been an 'Eklavya' of the RSS". He then went on to shower praise on the RSS and said that his only "regret" was that he didn't join the RSS earlier. It was an open admission by the Hon'ble VP & Chair that he's a proud member of the RSS. Hon'ble VP & Chairman has the right to be a member of any organization that he pleases. However, 2 days ago, he expunged & removed parts of the speech of Leader of Opposition Kharge ji where he'd criticized the RSS. It is well-documented fact that the RSS is an organization that has been banned in the past for subversive activities. It is a communal organization and also, for the longest time, refused to accept the Constitution of India. Is it fair for the VP of India to be openly praising the RSS while sitting in a chair where he's expected to be neutral? It is extremely concerning and DANGEROUS that criticism of the RSS even by MPs is now being banned under the Modi Govt because the Chairman is a proud member of the RSS which he has openly admitted.
