Killzone 2 might be the greatest tech flex the PS3 ever had. It still looks and feels unbelievable even in 2026

it was really good for its time but the input latency for 2 and 3 is insane and they don't look very good on modern HD screens

The input lag is real because that's how I accidentally got the trophy at the end but it not looking good on modern screens is false because I recorded this on original hardware on an OLED and it looks fantastic.

Killzone 2 has an internal resolution of 1280x720, has motion blur forced, 2x AA, and DOF. It definitely does look bad on 1440P and higher screens and thats mostly because modern screens are bad at upscaling.

They need to re-release the trilogy for PS5 with online multiplayer. Would love to try Killzone 2 pvp multiplayer.

The original Gears of War had destructable wall textures instead of bullet decals because it was important to show off the power of the guns with environmental battle scars. The later games don't have this yet they boast "superior graphics". I miss when devs gave a shit.

Id argue in 2026 it dosen’t really hold up though.The graphics while at first looks good the game manages to look ugly now if you actually start looking.

I just got a used physical copy in the original box at Gamestop for free last weekend. Was marked at $4.99 but had discount for Pro Members and I was able to use my $5 monthly coupon to cover the whole thing plus taxes. Definitely a steal IMO

I remember being at circuit city and seeing this game on one of the pcs and i played it and it was so fucking loud u could hear it from across the store and my dumb preteen ass didnt know how to lower the volume cuz i didnt have a pc so i kinda just stood there waiting for help

If MGS4 can be ported to modern platforms then there is no excuse of why we don’t have a Killzone 1-3 collection on PS5 by now.

It’s so funny they tried to pass off a pre-rendered video as gameplay at E3 to massive controversy, then released a game that graphically wasn’t far off, would have absolutely been more impressive in it’s own right.

Still pissed off they went from this to Horizon 🤢

KZ2 multiplayer was the best.

The warzone mp mode was miles ahead of its time and would still blow everything out of the water today.

Graphically this was way ahead of its time.

I wonder why @hermenhulst doesn't want a remaster for this game.
