Bless him, its not his fault , he's a young kid learning his craft. Love the way Max comforted him in this video, hes becoming the cool uncle everyone likes

True that mate. Well said. Kimi feels really bad about it. You can see he keeps following Max and doesn't want to let go 🥹💔

Yeah i've noticed in a few different videos he follows Max around , its so nice to see, he looks up to Max like a big brother, would love them to be teammates some day mate.

@MV33Racing All the rookies took a liking to Max. Especially at the start of the season, wherever Max was there were always one or two rookies around.

It doesn't matter. MCL would have swapped Oscar with Lando even if Kimi didn't do the mistake it wouldn't matter.

kimi is being too hard on himself, even if he kept 4th place in qatar, with lando being 3rd and oscar being 2nd in abu dhabi, mclaren wouldve made those 2 swap positions which would've made those 2 points irrelevant. kimi was going for the podium which is what any real driver wouldve done. if anything he probably earned more respect from max that week.

Except they weren’t because McLaren would have just swapped Oscar and Lando for 3 extra points if they needed to

Bono knew exactly why he was asking for the points. You can tell he felt badly telling him it was 2 points. He knew Kimi was going to blame himself.

Poor sweet Kimi Bono’s handling of him this year has been very sweet and supportive, he knew exactly what Kimi was asking here and he tried to deflect to change the direction of the conversation

He is the sweetest but someone should tell him he races for himself and should not being concerned about the others too much. Still this mxk brotop is pure 🥰

Any REAL athlete will tell you it doesn’t come down to ONE race… EVER. That one race where Kimi made an honest mistake is not what lost Max the championship. A championship is lost at every race where Max isn’t winning sprints and races. It is lost when the team performs a slow pit stop and causes him to move down in place. It’s lost when the car can’t perform on specific tracks or in specific weather. It is lost in every mistake along the way. It NEVER comes down to just one race or one incident. It’s the same way McLaren won the WDC as well as the constructors. Just because it came down to Abu Dhabi doesn’t mean that McLaren won it because of that one race. No, it was won with consistency throughout every race. It was won by having lightning fast pit stops. It was won with every upgrade to the car. Every simulator session. It was won on and off the race track… Kimi needs to learn this. And also, he doesn’t “OWE” Max anything. He’s not his teammate… he’s not even on the junior team. This is absurd to think about. Does that mean he would’ve let Max by intentionally if the roles were reversed to help Max win the title? None of this makes any sense to me…

McLaren would have swapped places between Oscar and Lando so no need to put it on Kimi

Let’s be honest even if Antonelli hadn’t gifted Lando 2 points and the positions were the same McLaren would have made Piastri swap at the end of yesterdays race. Outcome wouldn’t have changed

He shouldn't have apologized. Now you have to apologise to another team that's not yours for making a mistake and being passed? Its like saying Sunderland should apologise to Arsenal for being beaten by Man City if Man City goes on and wins the league. 🤷‍♂️

I am a Max fan (and Lando and Alonso) but the amount of hate Kimi received on the Qatar thing I would also fall silent. Its not on Kimi, he is a great driver with a bright future. No matter what team or driver someone supports the online hate and bias needs to soo.

Kimi is definitely the saddest one out there since he dive bomb once and a mistake in Qatar. Especially consider the relationship with Max make it feels even harder. After these years Max has really changed a lot❤️Rly hope that we can see them team up before Max retires from F1

That was not necessary, because surely Piastri would have let Norris pass him in the very last lap, should Kimi have finished before Lando in Qatar.

There’s dozens of scenarios where Max could’ve had those points or Lando could’ve lost them. You can’t focus on the one incident on the 23rd race.

Lets not attack the kid. Remember that RB cars have been shite all year long and we were lucky Mclaren got DSQ in Vegas. Throughout the whole season, it was not Max to win, but he still fought till the end. Blaming Kimi for that two points are just a reach

Man, Kimi doesn’t even need to beat himself up over it. A hundred things led up to Lando winning and even if Lando needed more than 2, Oscar would’ve got out the way for him.

What? Kimi is not responsible nor supposed to assist Max in getting his championship. I seriously doubt he was devastated and offered "apologies" to him. Kimi is not a Red Bull teammate. Keep coping. There are many factors in losing the championship. Why not blame him for Spain?

Profilbild von L_Formula1

It would have not changed anything, because in the case Norris finished P5 in Qatar, Piastri would have given him the position yeaterday. So the result would have been the same.

Åhh 🥹 And im even a mclaren fan, but this, wow, strong scenes. Its not his fault. You can always find points here and there over the season. But shows hes a good person, and Max completely takes all blame away from him👍. I have to say. Max is just a lot more "rounded" this season. Kids do that i know :-) But still. So in balance, just enjoying the season. Delivering one amazing performance after the other. Hats off 👌👍

not his fault at all as much as I love Max, spain is the reason he lost out even if Kimi held that position Piastri would've been ordered to give Norris 2nd place
