kimi is being too hard on himself, even if he kept 4th place in qatar, with lando being 3rd and oscar being 2nd in abu dhabi, mclaren wouldve made those 2 swap positions which would've made those 2 points irrelevant. kimi was going for the podium which is what any real driver wouldve done. if anything he probably earned more respect from max that week.

Any REAL athlete will tell you it doesn’t come down to ONE race… EVER. That one race where Kimi made an honest mistake is not what lost Max the championship. A championship is lost at every race where Max isn’t winning sprints and races. It is lost when the team performs a slow pit stop and causes him to move down in place. It’s lost when the car can’t perform on specific tracks or in specific weather. It is lost in every mistake along the way. It NEVER comes down to just one race or one incident. It’s the same way McLaren won the WDC as well as the constructors. Just because it came down to Abu Dhabi doesn’t mean that McLaren won it because of that one race. No, it was won with consistency throughout every race. It was won by having lightning fast pit stops. It was won with every upgrade to the car. Every simulator session. It was won on and off the race track… Kimi needs to learn this. And also, he doesn’t “OWE” Max anything. He’s not his teammate… he’s not even on the junior team. This is absurd to think about. Does that mean he would’ve let Max by intentionally if the roles were reversed to help Max win the title? None of this makes any sense to me…

It would have not changed anything, because in the case Norris finished P5 in Qatar, Piastri would have given him the position yeaterday. So the result would have been the same.

But shows hes a good person, and Max completely takes all blame away from him👍. I have to say. Max is just a lot more "rounded" this season. Kids do that i know :-) But still. So in balance, just enjoying the season. Delivering one amazing performance after the other. Hats off 👌👍
