Kindness matters.

I fell a few weeks back. Post surgery with my foot in the boot, trying to put the scooter in the trunk. Three people passed by paying no attention. A young woman from across the parking lot ran over and helped me. Kindness does matter.

Kindness does matter. The essence of a moral society is not how each person cares for their own self, but how people care for those who require assistance. Every religion and every ethical standard preaches it- it is up to every individual to truly practice it.

@bynsny This stuff does happen. I’m disabled and people are often offering help or asking if I’m ok, even tho I try to be independent. I never resent the offer.

I hit a deer a few years ago and my car was disabled, totaled. Several vehicles slowed down to check the deer, but not one stopped to ask if I was okay. I’m guessing the antlers on the buck were more important to them.
