This is called wake-riding and this orca is very likely doing it for fun. It's literally surfing — it can go very fast with very little effort when riding in the wake of a boat like this Cr | iteekesharing

Two turtles trapped in abandoned fishing gear in the Pacific Ocean were luckily rescued by members of Maersk Supply. This is the plastic we can see... Microplastics are tiny plastic particles, typically less than 5 millimetres in size. These particles are a major environmental concern due to their persistence and potential to accumulate in ecosystems. Microplastics can come from various sources, including the breakdown of larger plastic items, synthetic textiles, cosmetics, and other consumer products. They can be found in oceans, rivers, lakes, and even in soil and air. Marine organisms, including fish, shellfish, and even plankton, can ingest microplastics, potentially causing physical harm and altering behaviour. This can have a ripple effect on entire ecosystems, affecting the health of animals that depend on these organisms and up the food chain to humans.
