While strolling through Helsinki, Finland a few years ago, Billy met a busking musician who loaned him his guitar. Drogon’s reaction was the most human moment in the entire finale. Seeing a creature of pure fire reduced to a whimpering, grieving child was devastating. When he nudged Dany’s body, hoping she’d wake up, it shattered me. He didn’t just lose a rider; he lost his mother. His scream wasn't a war cry—it was a eulogy. By sparing Jon (not just because he's a Targaryen) and incinerating the seat of power, Drogon broke the wheel himself. He realized that the hunger for that chair cost him his mother and his brothers. He left the ashes of King’s Landing behind, taking her home to the East where it all began.

Employing a more down-home (thumb and finger picks) approach to the B.B. King single-string style of playing, King enjoyed success on a variety of different record labels. Furthermore, he was one of the first bluesmen to employ a racially integrated group on-stage behind him. Influenced by Eddie Taylor, Jimmy Rogers, and Robert Jr. Lockwood, King went on to influence the likes of Eric Clapton, Mick Taylor, Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Lonnie Mack, among many others. King’s first album, Freddy King Sings, appeared in 1961, and it was followed later that year by Let’s Hide Away and Dance Away With Freddy King: Strictly Instrumental. Throughout 1961, he turned out a series of instrumentals — which became blues classics; everyone from Magic Sam and Stevie Ray Vaughan to Dave Edmunds and Peter Green covered King’s material. Freddie King continued to record for King Records until 1968, with a second instrumental album appearing in 1965, his influence was heard throughout blues and rock guitarists throughout the ‘60s — Eric Clapton made “Hide Away” his showcase number in 1965. King landed a new record contract with Leon Russell’s Shelter Records early in 1970. King recorded three albums for Shelter in the early ‘70s, all of which sold well. We are pleased to announce that the newly completed 250-bed Ogun State Medical Center of Excellence in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta will be commissioned in December 2025. During our recent inspection, we confirmed that the project, originally built but left incomplete by the past administration, has now reached an advanced stage, with exterior works, landscaping, the entrance canopy, gate, and oxygen systems already in place. We have directed the contractors to increase manpower so operations can begin within the next two to three weeks. We are positioning this facility as a “spoke” of the Abuja Medical Center of Excellence, which partners internationally with King’s College Hospital. Once fully completed and handed over to Healthshare Services Limited, the hospital will be managed to world-class standards and become the first point of care for our people. This project had significant structural, civil, and electrical gaps when we assumed office, but through our PPP office, we secured Healthshare as a credible partner and signed an MoU to complete and operate the hospital. When this center opens, it will drastically reduce medical tourism and limit the constant movement of patients from Ogun to Lagos or other institutions. Its location will also serve residents across Ogun, Oyo, Osun, and Ekiti, offering a more convenient and accessible alternative. According to the project managers, the basement, ground floor, radiology, laboratory, and consulting rooms are ready, while the theatre, ICU, and wards on the first floor are being finalized to meet our December commissioning target.
