I’d get a bit annoyed with a noisy IPad next to me at breakfast table too; if she couldn’t sit anywhere else that is.

My grandson has ADHD and his screen focuses his attention and enables him to eat without anxiety. I’d rather he eats watching a screen than see him go hungry.

If sound was on (I don’t know if it was) that would annoy anyone trying to have a peaceful brkfst. Why weren’t you interacting with your child? My kid’s phones/iPads were banned at the eating table. We conversed with them during meals. Just different parenting I suppose

I don't understand why you encourage your child to have an iPad or phone at a dining table. Not allowed in my home. Tech free meals as we talk.

If the son was watching the iPad w/o headphones then that’s plain annoying (stop it) but if it was quiet then no prob. There’s always been Game Boys, other electronic things (I’m old)…as long as it is not disturbing anyone else also wanting peace and quiet then go for it✌️
