I am currently on Reservist training. Here in Norway with the Royal Marine Surveillance and Reconnaissance Squadron. Dusting off some old skills and drills in the Arctic Circle. It’s -18C but still workable for insertion skills. Norway is not just a strategic ally it’s a geopolitical partnership. With Russian submarine and naval activity in the North Atlantic increasing by over 30% in the past two years we need to increasingly work together. Lunar House is our bilateral agreement with the Norwegians and it’s going from strength to strength. This is the biggest deployment of Marines to the high north in some time.

It’s our most favourite royal-watching day. It’s going to be a full day of royal tradition, diplomacy, and tiara moments! Today’s Schedule: 🇳🇬 The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, accompanied by the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, is on a State Visit to the United Kingdom from 18 March to 19 March 2026. 🌄 Morning Highlights TRH Prince William and Catherine, the Prince and Princess of Wales, will welcome the President and First Lady on behalf of King Charles III at Fairmont Hotel, Windsor. They will then travel together to Datchet Road, where a ceremonial welcome will take place. The King will formally receive the distinguished guests at the royal dais. 🚃 Royal Procession Following the welcome, Their Royal Highnesses will join the King, the Queen, and the Presidential couple in a carriage procession to Windsor Castle. At the Quadrangle, they will be greeted with a guard of honour and a royal salute. 💂‍♂️🎖️ Military Display Expect a spectacular showcase featuring: • The King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery march past • The Sovereign’s Escort rank past • The guard of honour march past 🏰 Afternoon Engagement In the afternoon, the Prince and Princess of Wales will join the King, members of the Royal Family, and the President and First Lady to view a special exhibition of Nigerian-related items from the Royal Collection in the Green Drawing Room at Windsor Castle. 🥂 Evening State Banquet In the evening, the Prince and Princess of Wales are expected to attend the State Banquet at Windsor Castle in honour of the President and Mrs Tinubu. HMS Barham The Queen Elizabeth-class battleship HMS Barham served the Royal Navy through two world wars before being sunk by the German submarine U-331. In December 1939, it was torpedoed by U-30 but was repaired and returned to service. On 25 November 1941, in the Mediterranean off the Egyptian coast, it was hit by three torpedoes from U-331. A magazine explosion caused the ship to capsize and blow up within minutes. Of the roughly 1,184 crew, 862 were killed. The sinking was filmed by a cameraman aboard its sister ship, HMS Valiant.

The IDF released this strange cockpit video of a pilot over Tehran striking a target. 💥 It seems pointless on viewing, but if you listen to the audio of the pilot (Hebrew), we begin to understand the significance. The pilot assures he has his 'pickle' locked on target and is releasing.. Meaning he is using his internal systems and Heads Up Display to drop JDAM/conventional iron bombs directly over the target/Tehran. Bombs that will glide down to target. That is the standard way fighter bombers drop bombs - however, it is far too dangerous normally to fly over a defended target in this manner and drop bombs. The majority of Israeli & US Strikes over heavily defended areas use standoff weapons - Missiles fired from planes that travel to the target while the Jet is dozens, if not hundreds of miles away from enemy air-to-air defenses, and safe. This is not a video about a pilot dropping a bomb - It's a video of the historic moment the USA & Israel established full air supremacy over Tehran, the capital of Iran.
