Why is everyone saying Priyanka Chopra got ignored by Hollywood celebs at the Bvlgari event? Why all the hate on her? Yes, she once asked Hindus not to burst crackers on Diwali because of her asthma. But later she burst fireworks at her wedding, celebrated bursting crackers at other events, and was caught smoking. Yes, she posted “All Eyes on Rafah” and visited Rohingya Muslims. Yes, her lead series Quantico showed Rudraksha mala-wearing Hindus as terrorists trying to bomb New York and frame Pakistanis for it. Yes, she married a white guy but still acts like a strong Hindu. Kash Patel is asked again with all the new documents released, do you still believe Epstein killed himself? “Yes”, he says… Don’t get mad at Kash. I believe he’s answering as a matter of what is “available” to the FBI. But trust…. There will come a day, when a new secret “burn bag” will be discovered, new video, a new witness, a new revelation… will be declassed. Epstein didn’t kill himself. We know. We were in the middle of saving our old farmhouse pergola replacing the tired supports with fieldstone pillars and rough-cut cedar for the new outdoor kitchen. I told them two days ago the temporary bracing didn’t look strong enough. Woke up to this. Not my favorite way to be right 😔 So yes, this is my official announcement: we’re hiring a full-time carpenter with great pay and benefits. Must love old houses, cabins, old-fashioned woodwork, and doing things properly.

I haven’t followed the Epstein story closely and don’t have strong, settled views on it. But even from a distance, a few things are obvious. There’s literally a video of Alan Dershowitz admitting he got a massage at Epstein’s mansion. That alone—just the basic fact that Epstein had “masseuses” hanging around ready to give “massages” to his guests—makes it all but certain that a lot of people got those massages, and very likely that at least some of those encounters went beyond massages. That much, I take as a given. The real question, then, is what Epstein was actually doing? Was he simply offering his friends a good time? Was it transactional, i.e. exchanging favors or deals for access to these “services”? Or was he collecting blackmail material? Any of those are plausible, and others may be too. But calling the whole thing a hoax falls apart the second you watch that clip. Dershowitz’s own admission proves there’s a there there. Now, it may not have been as widespread or depraved as some have claimed. Some of the women involved gave contradictory testimony. That doesn’t erase what happened, but it might mean the scope was narrower than assumed. Still, people have a right to ask how far it all went. What the government should be saying is simple: Yes, the rollout was a disaster, especially the ridiculous “binder” stunt. Yes, Epstein was a predator. Yes, Alex Acosta never should have let him off. Yes, it is probably too late to piece everything together. And yes, we cannot reliably determine how old some of the girls were or exactly who did what and that is also why names cannot simply be released, because, as Dershowitz claims of himself, some guests may have engaged in conduct that was technically legal and consensual. And at the very least, one basic question should be easy to answer: did Epstein work for U.S. intelligence? He’s dead. They can say yes or no.

My 12.9m, K420 tri-axle Scania Irizar PB heading from the Shell Garage, Guyhirn to have its PMI and some other bits sorted this morning, it had a brand new set of Irizar LED rear lights fitted last week which really make it look more modern. Once it’s back it’ll have 8 (yes EIGHT!) new tyres 🛞 and then it’s freshly polished Euroliner wheel trims fitted plus a bit of a paint work polish up too. Then it’ll be ready to go out and earn some money 💰

Burn 🔥 everything around you and collect the wood ash 2. Burn natural limestone (calcination) to produce quick lime Steps 1. and 2. can be combined into one step. 3. Make wood ash lye the traditional way, by dripping drip 💧 water on wood ash and collecting the water that went through the ash. Any vessel will do but an oak barrel is the traditional way doing it. I used a plastic bucket with holes at the bottom. The wood ash lye is mostly KOH and K2CO3. What we need is CaCO3. We need to change the letter K to letters Ca. We’ll do it by adding the letters Ca to the liquid. 4. Add quick lime (CaO) or hydrated lime, slaked lime (Ca(OH)2) to the lye until it stops bubbling in vinegar. The explosion of popularity we are seeing with Pickleball probably has to do with how safe and non-aggressive it is as a sport We are entering a new age where any semblance of danger needs to be eradicated Yes, childless millennials are embracing their geriatric years a little sooner (kids keep people young) But I think the popularity has to do with the merging of genders Introducing gender-neutral sports that level the playing field Look at this meet-up group and the activities they participate in Adults playing Kickball Very safe, unaggressive, and ultimately embarrassing

Good detail: dado in your LED strip lighting under open shelves for continuous light under cabinets! We like doing open shelves at a corner bc: - makes walls less heavy - avoids awkward bifold door and lost storage at corner - ties kitchen materials together (lowers are wood, to match this shelf) - provides easy access for items like cookbooks, Sonos speaker, favorite mugs, and/or stuff you want to display And why is there a bump up on the counter? That's a story for another post...but it's a cool solve for a thorny issue that comes up a lot in renovations! (One of our renovation projects in an 1850s house in Boston, almost done! Sound on for random GC commentary...)
