Ha! I agree with you 100%! My Lil Man reacts the same if I leave the house for 5 secs, 5 mins, or 5 hours. If I step outside to do nothing more than to take out the trash (which is like 30 steps from my back door) he starts to whine and howl even if my husband and son are still in the house with him. And yes, it's cute and a bit annoying.

My little doodle mutt has a complete meltdown when I take out the trash and then rejoices like it’s her birthday when I come back in. Maybe she’s part yorkie 😂

That’s how my German Shepherd is, she has such bad separation anxiety she acts just like that when we go outside and come back in.

I have a shorkie and when I leave the house she sits on couch and watches out the back door for my return, for hours. Cute, but it makes me sad she’s that consumed.

FYI. All dogs do that. Especially if you love them like you seem to.

Yorkies are the loyalist of loyal... I had one that was only 6lb's who grew up with my two other shepherd collies and he ruled... Look up Smokey the war dog, he was a Yorkie and a WW2 vet 😀

Our yorkie has since passed, but he was the joy of my life!! When I came home from visiting my parents for a month, he put his leg around my neck and wouldn’t let me put him down for a long time. He knew I was gone longer than usual. I miss him terribly!!!
