It appears that many people on Social Media are simply concerned about superficial symbolism and not actually the citizens who are registered to vote and who can legally vote. It’s great and wonderful when Certified Social Studies Teachers actually do their jobs and teach children about the government and educate them on current events. The reality is that real change in the present can only occur from the informed citizens who choose to participate in the election process. Likes, followers, and viral moments on Social Media don’t elect government officials (house of representatives, senators, etc).
