IMHO & something I have voiced some time ago is that every prospective parliamentary candidate in the same way that a Lawyer / Accountant/ Doctor / Barrister has to be sufficient qualified to participate within their sector … should need to take a minimum IQ test couple with being able to pass high level exams in (a) Economics (b) History (c) Geography Without these no one should be allowed to stand.
