KNOXNET — $KNX Public Testing Now Live We are pleased to announce that "public testing for the KnoxNet Android APK" is now live. This release marks a major milestone in our development enabling value transfers without any internet connectivity. The current build allows users to experience the core offline infrastructure in a real-world environment for the first time ever. The ability to transfer value completely offline has never been achieved at this level. As this system matures and moves toward full integration with the KnoxNet chain, the implications become significantly larger. Key Features in this Build: * Offline send and receive of KNX notes * Device-to-device communication over Bluetooth * Local validation with instant acknowledgement (handshake-based transfer) * Works fully in airplane mode (no internet, no fallback) * Duplicate note detection on receiver side * On-device transaction history --- ⚠️ Disclaimer This is a testing environment. Each user will be provided with 10,000 KNX test notes upon setup. These are not real funds and are intended solely for testing and feedback purposes. --- 📲 Download the APK 📘 Documentation (How to Use) 🛠 Support & Troubleshooting --- This release represents the first step toward a new category of infrastructure where value can move independently of network conditions. Privacy, as a sector, has seen limited innovation over the years and we intend to change that. What is being built here positions KnoxNet at the forefront of privacy infrastructure, not just competing within the category, but defining it. We encourage all users to test the application thoroughly and share feedback as we continue to refine and scale the system.

$KNX Internal Testing Video: Offline Transfers in Action We just did something that shouldn’t be possible. Real value transferred without the internet. No nodes, no mempool, no broadcast, just pure peer-to-peer movement. Offline transfers have now been successfully completed, with all internal PoC tests passing. For the first time, two devices in complete lockdown mode were able to securely connect and transfer value between each other entirely offline. This marks the foundation of what we believe is the world’s first truly offline cryptocurrency, built with privacy at its core and designed to unlock an entirely new paradigm of financial interaction. What you’re seeing here is our internal PoC testing in action. With this milestone achieved, we are now moving towards integrating this system into the public application build. Watch it. True privacy happens when the internet disconnects.

KnoxNet Mobile-App First Look We’re sharing an early look at the $KNX mobile app and how users will interact with it. This preview shows the core flow ,from secure setup and vault creation to how value is managed inside the app. More importantly, this is the first look at how offline transfer of money will work on KnoxNet. Users will be able to generate, store, and transfer value locally through Offline Notes, without relying on an active internet connection. While the experience is simple on the surface, the system handles escrow, issuance, and state tracking in the background. KnoxNet is redefining privacy. True privacy begins when the internet shuts down and no one is watching. Reconciliation can be triggered when needed to sync with the global ledger, ensuring consistency without forcing constant connectivity. This is still an early build, Stay tuned for more updates.

$KNX When Everything Goes Offline A system built to track everything. Every transaction. Every signal. Every movement-observed, recorded, irreversible. When infrastructure fails and connectivity disappears, everything built on it comes to a halt. No internet. No fallback. No way to move value when it actually matters. But that’s exactly where KnoxNet operates differently. We created a short film exploring a simple idea — what happens when the world goes offline, and your money still needs to move? This is the shift from monitored systems to true, peer-to-peer execution. No dependency. No exposure. Just value moving — as it should. Watch the film, hope you enjoy it!

🚨 BIG! Offline UPI Payments in the Works! NPCI is developing a system that will let users pay up to ₹2,000 from PRELOADED UPI Lite balances. — This will work even when both the phone and terminal are offline 🤯 No PIN required. The transaction is stored and settled later once network returns. Aimed at flights, underground trains and low-connectivity spots. Terminal certification expected later this year. Big step if it rolls out smoothly. What do you think?

USDC is now live on the ethereum:0xf19304e6bfe0a18d2a0171758aa433921f192897 beta application. Introducing one of the first real-world implementations of offline stablecoin payments, enabling solana:EPjFWdd5AufqSSqeM2qN1xzybapC8G4wEGGkZwyTDt1v transactions even in low or no-connectivity environments through KnoxNet’s infrastructure. Starting today, USDC functionality is being rolled out in a controlled beta environment across real devices to test transaction flows, wallet interactions, and overall payment experience before moving deeper into production-grade stablecoin infrastructure. Fast. Private. Offline-capable. This is the next step toward making stablecoins usable anywhere, not just online.

We’re excited to share a sneak peek at the UI/UX for the upcoming ZERA wallet, and let you know... Wallet beta getting closer. We’re releasing a core wallet first, focused on speed and reliability. This phase is our first major live-load test of the infrastructure and release process, a key step in building a resilient foundation with the community. Following the hackathon submission and tech-demo release, we’ll begin rolling out the advanced privacy and offline features into the beta through staged releases. What the full wallet brings (post-beta): ✅ Multi-asset privacy support: starting with select stables (USDC/USDT) + SOL; more to follow. ✅ Shielded balances: private by default via zero-knowledge cryptography. ✅ Private P2P: send/receive without revealing your transaction graph. ✅ Offline transfers: fully offline send/receive, plus note splitting/merging for exact change. ✅ Seamless swaps: ZK-gated routing to swap via Jupiter/Raydium directly into shielded balances, minimizing intent/size leakage. Join the beta. Help us push the infra, refine UX, and shape the rollout. Welcome to the New Zero-Knowledge Era.

I've been working on a new personal operating system that's fully local, private, and amnesic by default. Complete enough to be your only computer and the entire system is lean enough to boot from a USB stick, leaving no trace on the host machine. Models run locally on the user's own hardware. No account, no API key, no network calls after install. Ships with models preloaded, so the very first boot is productive with no network at all. One image, multiple modes, chosen at the boot menu to match your mission. Works offline, indefinitely.

.Marc Andreessen 🇺🇸 on the divergence between online and offline culture: "There's two ways to live life right now. It's either you're too online or you're too offline. And those are the two choices." "At least everybody I know, they're one or the other... And as consequence they live in two totally different worlds." "It's almost impossible for somebody who's too online to talk to somebody who's too offline and have a productive conversation because the too offline person has no idea what they're talking about." "I think that's actually a big part of what's happening in the culture, independent of left versus right, or independent of whatever. It's just simply two completely different mediated realities." Joe Rogan

🚨 NANCY GUTHRIE’S GOOGLE NEST DOORBELL WAS OFFLINE - FBI STILL GOT THE VIDEO Read this slowly. Nancy Guthrie’s Google Nest doorbell had been taken, disconnected, and off the home’s Wi-Fi. There was no active cloud connection. No live feed. No upload in progress. Yet investigators still recovered the video. According to Federal Bureau of Investigation Director Kash Patel, the FBI worked with private companies and pulled footage from “residual data” stored in backend systems - even though the device wasn’t connected to the cloud. Let that sink in. If the doorbell was offline… and the cloud wasn’t being used… WHERE was the video actually stored? How many invisible handoff points exist between your camera and the server? How much data is cached, mirrored, or retained before you’re ever told it’s “uploaded”? If investigators can recover footage after the device is removed… was it ever really offline at all?

‼️FEDWIRE FUNDS OFFLINE SERVICE RETIRING DECEMBER 2024‼️ The Fedwire Funds Offline Service, provided by the Federal Reserve, allows financial institutions to process wire transfers manually when they cannot connect to the Fedwire Funds Service electronically. This service ensures that institutions can continue critical high-value transactions by phone during issues such as system outages or network failures. Due to low demand and operational complexity, this service will be DISCONTINUED at the end of 2024. The change reflects a shift toward digital-first systems and the gradual phase-out of manual processes in money transfers.✅ This retirement also aligns with the upcoming transition to ISO 20022 for U.S. payment systems, as the Fedwire migration deadline approaches in 2025. As payment systems modernize, practices like phone-based wire transfers will continue to become obsolete.🔑

On the whole "TNS online killed locals" topic and offline vs. online discussion, one thing Tong touches on in the podcast is how Tampa Never Sleeps Online is a major loss leader for the company. To run online events at the scale and quality TNS does, they take on: - 8 full time employees - All commentators/TO's/staff paid for their time - Infrastructure costs TNS is losing money on nearly every online event they run, while employing people within the FGC and giving a platform for the players and smaller game communities. The tradeoff is the service to the community and awareness of the brand the online tournaments provide, which helps them land and work offline events to pay the bills. These offline events become the hubs people gather at. It's not offline vs. online, it's one community.

The cool thing about local-first web apps is you don't have to choose anymore, which was one of the goals for Thymer: real-time collaboration, E2EE sync, and web access, while your data also lives locally and the app works offline. That means tools like Claude (or local LLMs) can get fast access to your workspace data. There's already an MCP plugin and here's a quick prototype where Claude Code talks directly to offline workspace data stored in the browser DB.

Run your coding agent on a local model, with QVAC. OpenCode now plugs into a model on your own machine through our official plugin. That changes two things. Privacy by default. Your repo, your prompts, and every command the agent runs stay on your device. No third-party model ever sees your code. For an agent that reads your codebase and runs commands, that is the point, not a nice-to-have. New workflows. With no meter and no rate limit, the agent does not have to stop. Let it loop on a task, refactor a whole repo overnight, or run a watch-build-fix loop that keeps going. Setup takes a few minutes: one line in opencode.json and OpenCode runs on a local QVAC model. In the video demo, it handles three real developer tasks back to back, fully offline.

T+2? No, T+0. Decades measuring time in days to move to just a few seconds. Yes, that is the time it took to redeem a tokenized short-term United States Treasury bond on the XRPL for its fiat value at a bank in Singapore. That is why this first transaction is historic! For the first time, a public blockchain, a global payments network, and one of the largest banks in the world, coordinated in seconds the cross-border redemption of a tokenized financial asset.
