The Ghostbuster remains one of the most elite brainbusters in pro wrestling history. Like, one of the best ever. Some of them look so disgusting but you never hear stories of Koko breaking anybodies neck.

No he was Not Underrated. Koko was really good in the territory days. He was also great in WWF. Had an LJN action figure, cool tshirts & was super popular. Kids were crazy about his persona with Frankie.

@GrrillaPosition True… but stayed between lower and mid… was never pushed in WWF… could have been an IC Title contender. I say underrated and under appreciated!

During the period he was there …..who do you think he would’ve legit challenged for the IC or world belt?? He was mid card because that was his level…..he overachieved if anything. Cant get much more appreciated than being in their Hall of Fame.

@GrrillaPosition @GrappleClips If Honky Tonk Man was IC champ then surely Koko could've been

@GrappleClips

His Brainbuster looked the best out of everyones!

He had to take the first tombstone. It didn’t go well lol.

Suuuuper underrated. Ppl say wwe or aew today has the best roster ever, but 80s wwf had every top guy from everywhere

Wish he had been in higher profile feuds in WWF at the very least. He was sorta stuck in that jobber to the stars mid card scene.

His Ghostbuster finisher was the scariest move to me when I was a kid.

@Mattel

I remember some fans disapproved of him being in the HOF. He was good in the ring, a great character and was on the road as much as the "top guys." Hey yo, don't be a mark.

I had the pleasure to meet Koko B Ware backstage at MSG 1980's and just a super nice guy and always enjoyed his WWF tenure!!

If he came around during attitude era with a edgier character he would have been far bigger He had great talent

I was fortunate to watch a younger, leaner Koko in Memphis and Mid-South. Here’s Ware taking on a young Rick Steiner.

How did he do that missile dropkick and land it? Wow.

The Ghostbuster imo was one of the best finishers during his era. Too bad he was mostly a midcarder who rarely won against top guys. Because you rarely got to see him use it. Mostly just on WWF Superstars, when he beat robbers all the time.

That’s Lyra’s dad! #DoItForFrankie

Koko B. Ware could have been Intercontinental Champion or Tag Team Champion with Owen Hart. That Vince never considered doing either irritates me greatly.

Best drop kick in the biz

Koko was great in Memphis and the UWF. But he made a very good living being the guy that got people over as credible. In saying that, a mid-card push around 88-89 might would have worked

If European championships existed back then, he would have been a good one.

WWF killed so many territory stars. It was shame

Love how he landed on his feet off the missile dropkick. Very few guys have ever done it that way, and his looked best.

He was very popular! Vince just didn’t want to put a title on him. He and Brutus Beefcake both suffered because they were only two singles title back then.

Actually...

His best work was when he worked in the Memphis, Nashville, and Mid South territories. Fantastic Tag team and singles wrestler that could work with anybody. Him and Bobby Eaton were a great herl tag team in 82 in Memphis

He was one of my favorite wrestlers during the '80s right behind Hulk Hogan, Macho Man, Brutus "The Barber" Beefcake, King Kong Bundy, Andre The Giant, Paul Orndorff, etc.

He is in the WWE HOF

Should’ve had a title run!

He could’ve got beat with a small package!

Never thought about it before, but I agree. Don’t remember him having a feud while in the Fed. Good talent & charisma. The singing gimmick hurt him. Worthy of an IC challenge (reign?)

was rated enough. he was used well at tv and ppv's, bet he didnt have to work for free either. had his merchandise and fans. i'd say he did well, knowing that mainevents were mostly crap ran on luster and dingo warrior..

Koko B Ware hit that brainbuster like Goldberg on the Undertaker

The ghostbuster was devastating.

@enigma203860 Not underrated he was Underused and it’s solely due to the skin he had.

Funny, I just watched this episode of superstars yesterday
