K-ON Pilgrimage!

Since it was a rainy weekday, there weren't that many other visitors today. Luckily, I was able to spend more than 20 minutes alone in the clubroom. I sat in "that" bench and listened to "Tenshi ni Fureta yo." It was truly an amazing experience and made me tear up

There's also a visitor notebook here where anyone can freely leave a message. You can even look through the notebooks from 2009! If you ever go there, please check it out. It was so cool to read messages that otakus left in 2009.

The real life school is an elementary school, no? Do they let people in for K-On! tourism?

It's an elementary school but old building one that is no longer used as school. On the first floor, they use it as small kindergarten room (?) and some local unions room. You can explore the building free!

That's amazing! Well I suppose that goes on my list of places to visit whenever I finally make it to Japan some (probably) 50 years from now.

Travelling to Japan is a pricy endeavour, Ssumer. With the current state of the job market, I don't expect to save up the funds for that for many years to come. Please greet me when I arrive there in 2077 as an old man with a long white beard.

I was just here a few days ago. My entire time here in Japan was either raining or cloudy (which sucks because I was so excited). There wasn't a a lot of people when I visited. Also very rural, train runs every hour to get here/out. Photo taken 02/28/2026

If I visit Japan I wanna to visit this place with my dad. (Obs: My dad don't know nothing of anime, but he was so sad with the KyoAni arson attack in 2019 and talked about DanDaDan recently)

You dad sounds nice guy. I thought about the attack and the Kyot Animation president who has died last month. I really appreciate that they gave us so many cool things.

May God recive the KyoAni president in his new journey... And thank you, my father is a great person, I'm so proud of him.

I went there last year and miss it so much! But luckily I will be there in a couple of weeks again 😊 (I think the auditorium is closed tho 🥲)

I’m so sad I didn’t have the time to visit during my Japan trip in 2024. At least I was able to see it from the Shinkansen window. I’ll go on a proper visit one day though.
