Konami does it again, learned nothing after Vol. 1 sound issues

Look, I'm glad more people are able to play the game but the amount of people who think this is okay is funny. No wonder they keep putting out garbage. Just because you haven't played the game in 18 years after selling your PS3 for weed in 2008 doesn't mean the sound isn't fucked

Most minor issue ever that can be easily fixed with a patch. No reason to freak out this hard.

peak audio autism at work because I can't even really tell a difference outside snake grunts and gunshots, it sounds fine when you're actually playing the game, not forensic analysing it

I'm not saying its unplayable either (yeah le funny meme) but it hits particularly hard because Vol.1 was riddled with the same issues, and discussion and patches have been going on for 3 years only for them to do the exact same thing again...

The quality of this port is much higher than Vol. 1 when it was first released. There are bugs, but it’s not a close comparison.

Play the MGS1 part on MGS4

For everyone saying this is not a problem. In MGS4 you literally use sound clues in 2 chapters. So yes, such issues are critical.

The audio is quite muffled and it's very noticeable. I feel like they did what Grove Street Games did by combining all audio channels turning them from genuine stereo to mono audio that's been then converted to stereo.

The game sounds better than on PS3 cause now uses Dolby Atmos. With a proper setup, the sound dosnt sound like this. And i says this as someone who finished MGS4. Seven times on original hardware.

First. You should start by recording the game directly from original hardware and not RPCS3 😂

@Drk29TTV And there are ways to report and comunicate that, not like a baby crying over some issues that could be easily fix if there is any.

Thanks for posting about these. Even if others are calling it a nothingburger it's important to note when things are different/not quite exactly the same, especially for games held in such high regard as MGS4.

OG mgs4 used surround sound from dobly. So if you don't have surround cutscenes that aren't directly to the camera suck, anyone off screen is mute. On PS3 you had to change PS3 settings. They didn't add any new setting to make it mono audio. All sound is the same from PS3

I thought the problem is just sound mixing but apparently the issue is much deeper. Hard to believe they put this mess on gold. The sound is very fucked in MGS4.

Im glad i spent the money to buy a ps3 and this game. Rather have the original in my humble opinion. Did want to play the online on peacewalker though
