For the longest time 30+ family and friends chipped in to a private company and we could always fly that way. I never really flew commercial too much, only a handful of times. I never liked it. I hate the crowds, I hate waiting for my bags. Some people can be always unruly. The worst for me is when I had to sit by someone who would always give the attendant a hard time, treating them like a personal assistant, barking orders at them and admonishing them for what they consider substandard service. This woman sitting across the aisle from me thought she was at an all inclusive buffet. She would say “excuse me miss” as a way of getting their attention and she always used a fake sugary sweet voice and was acting polite but I could tell it wasn’t authentic, it was a way to demean the workers. She made the poor attendant kept going back and forth and getting her refills even though she was serving somebody else. She would repeatedly ask for snacks and seconds when the meal was served. I have no idea why they complied but they did. Most of us were just sitting there watching and waiting for the attendant to snap, but she was professional the whole time. This was at a time where most people weren’t going to embarrass themselves making a scene because the people who treat them like this are used to the attention, it’s almost as if they are picking a fight intentionally. The rest of the flight was uneventful. This was a long flight to Asia for me, I think the attendant knew if she angered the woman, she would then become even more difficult so she just took it. I would have cut her off a long time before she started taking advantage.

Had an interesting conversation this weekend with an older relative who's politics are "just be a good person". She's relatively wealthy and gives to the types of causes you would expect this type of person to give. She gives her time too. She is actually a good person. I asked her if she was ever concerned that the causes she gave to would reduce the proportion of people like her in the world. She said that she thought the opposite. That she was inspired by the generosity and kindness of others, and that by giving she would increase the proportion of people like her. I said I believed she inspires her peers, but her peers aren't the people she's giving money to. Do they become productive and generous people, like her? Or is she just increasing the proportion of people who are takers and don't give anything back? Despite decades of generosity, this was clearly a question she had never thought about. The implications made her uncomfortable, and the conversation basically ended after that.

“I was driving up 75, and saw the trooper in the turnout...checked my speed, oh I'm good. A few minutes later, I see a dog in the ditch by one of the signs for exit 20. She looked bad. I was in the left lane, heading to an appointment, and was torn. I decided I would go back southbound and risk a ticket by going to the turnout. I turned in and the trooper was still there! Yay! He rolled down his window and said "yep! I'm here" to which i told him about the dog and I didn't want a ticket, but if I could help that dog, it was fine by me. He just asked where the dog was and was on his way! I followed and we found her, still there, panting like she was fixing to die. That trooper dumped his jug out and fashioned a water bowl for her. Then poured a couple bottles of water. The dog was scared of him, but frozen in weakness. She sniffed the water, then realized this kindness was for her! She drank that water down in minutes! The trooper went and got her some more, plus a Little Debbie. She watched him warily the whole time. She sniffed his hand but was still wary. Next thing, he goes to his vehicle and gets a chair and an umbrella. He told me he will stay here until she trusts him, so he can get her to a shelter, or take her home. Director Lee Han-gyeol said in an interview that, while filming the “2.0” music video, the most impressive member to him was Taehyung. - Even before starting the music video filming, I exchanged many opinions with V-ssi. - Taehyung-ssi said he was confident in being funny. - Taehyung-ssi's proactiveness made me feel excited as well, and he played a big role as a 'mood maker' on set. Athena talked to us about her rivalry with Asuka and said she would like to have one more match with her. “Oh, man. Like Asuka is one of those people, that’s a forever rival for me. Like when we were back on the indies, we actually ended up wrestling at Shimmer Women’s Wrestling. That’s where we met. We had one of the hardest hitting matches I think I’ve had in my career then, and then fast forward to WWE NXT for the NXT Women’s Championship. Asuka is my yin to my yang. I really hope she’s not stepping away. I’ve actually been trying to get a hold of her because I lost a whole bunch of people’s numbers when I switched my phone and everything. But man, talk about someone who’s just the epitome of what legendary status is or what a living legend is. Not only that, like just excelling in WWE in every form and facet from match to match, but never changing who she was as a person, a character. I couldn’t be more proud, more happy for her. This young lady approaches strangers and begs them to buy her formula for her starving baby. She’s a part of a team of scammers that walk around Target and do this all day long. The young lady here doesn’t even have a baby. When she gets busted by other customers she leaves the formula and attempts to run away. Why does the store allow this to keep happening? They’ve been reported multiple times but still are allowed to enter the store. My friend works at my local Target and he says when this happens they have to throw away the formula, they can’t put it back on the shelves in fear of tampering once people take them out of the store and try to return them later. This is why I never do it. I’ve seen too many people try this scam before. I was once approached by a child who was holding a can of formula and asked me to buy it for them and I asked the kid where her mom was and she said she was over there. I walked around and didn’t see anybody, I felt something was off since the kid seemed to be alone. I found an employee and immediately told them what was going on, last I saw they were walking the child upfront presumably trying to find her mom. I have a feeling the mom trained the kid to do this and what they do is return it for money to spend on other things. I always have a soft spot for children in need and I have a feeling many others do too. That’s why this is so harmful. People who actually need the help or in a bind will now never get actual help because of scams like this. I wish there was a way to do it so they can’t return it. I wish the stores would make formula sales final. That would be a step forward, what makes it worst is this happened during a shortage as well. I’ve been called cruel and heartless for refusing by these people but what’s truly heartless is using the idea of a hungry child to steal money from others.
