The Kremlin says it does not consider Zelensky’s “on a missile” response to Russian journalists a refusal to visit Moscow. Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said he had not heard Zelensky reject the invitation, noting that the Ukrainian president is making numerous statements on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly. On a ceasefire, Peskov reiterated that Russia says it seeks a peace settlement rather than a temporary truce. #Russia

If Russia truly is ready for peace, Russia is ready for a ceasefire. A ceasefire would stop the killing and would allow for thorough negotiations towards a lasting peace. Thank you for the interview, NEWSMAX.

51 countries are united today in our support for Ukraine at the UN General Assembly. Since March 2025, Ukraine has agreed to a full, immediate and unconditional ceasefire. We call on Russia to finally do the same. Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. Russia must stop its aggression, accept a ceasefire, and engage meaningfully in negotiations towards a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in accordance with international law.

Responding to Zelensky’s call for an energy ceasefire, Kremlin spokesman Peskov cynically replied, “We are working on peace in Ukraine, not a ceasefire.” This, as Russia continues bombing Ukraine’s energy grid daily.

"If the aggressor does not lay down its arms, there won't be peace and there certainly won't be a lasting peace. The goal, first and foremost, should be to have Russia end its invasion. After that there can be talks on a credible and lasting peace." 🇫🇮 FM Elina Valtonen at #FAC

☝️ “If we are talking about any peace processes, these should not be processes involving truce for a week, for two weeks, or a year, so that NATO countries can rearm and stock up on new ammunition. We need conditions for long-term, sustainable, and lasting peace which provides equal security for all participants in this difficult process.” - President Putin.
