I have found that the new AI order takers are easier to understand and a lot more tollerant of delays and mistakes. They are definitely more polite. I prefer them over some surely teenager or someone I can't understand. They can switch languages easily as well.

Anyone ever noticed what an absolute di€k ChatGPT is? Also, Krispy Kreme are my favorite donuts of all time, or they used to be. They are ridiculously expensive now. I remember walking to the one in Nashville and only paying pennies for them. Good times. If they're using AI, and automating their systems, I'm okay with that. But the prices should come down.

I never saw the attraction to those donuts anyways. I dont really eat at those places and if you are upset about them using AI and replacing humans (which isnt going to work long term, people have to have jobs and money to buy their shit) then dont patronize them.

And it will have the predicable result of wasting a bunch of money only to lead to brining back new people who also continue to fuckup the orders until fast food and drives through are unusable.

Everyone knew it was going to happen, and no one did anything to even try to stop it. I at least tried to refuse to even use AI at work, but using it was easier than getting fired. Now i truly see what it can do and is doing. The problem is i am 1 person of 1 million. Wake up!

Reward those restaurants with no business. Find the ones that are mom and pop restaurants or at least the big chain that is not supporting this. McDonald's is garbage anyway and Taco bell's prices have skyrocketed. If you can manage without big chains I'd say ditch them all though Steak and Shake looks to be getting a little better. A side note. We don't do fast food that much anymore it is more of a weekend thing and I love mom and pop places anyhow. Miss my grandma and the world war 2 generation big time.

This is what happens when states like California require absurd minimum wage rates for entry level jobs. It’s cheaper for the companies to implement AI.

And this is happening becuase for years you decided Krispy Kreme was cheaper and more convenient than the local bakery you let go out of business. So now you keep going to Krispy Kreme and feeding their company your hard earned money as a reward for making you put up with this.

Local Carl's Jr tried this. Took forever to order and had to change it at the window as it never got the order right. The restaurant got rid of it within 2 weeks.

Yep and people won't stop buying from them either when they should. These companies would crumble if everyone ate at home.
