Put it in correct context. The dog was aggressive and destroyed another family's chickens followed by attacking Noem when she tried to stop the dog. I'm not saying it was the right or wrong solution but misrepresentation of the situation is disgraceful.

This is how I explained it. A responsible person that endeavors to ensure the health, welfare & safety of their family has the duty to ensure that those measures deemed necessary are carried out within the law without regard to others'opinions, in spite of its unpopularity

She didn't do it "because she hated the dog". She did it because it killed a local family's chickens and bit her. Surprised you left out such a CRUCIAL detail and said it was just because "she hated the dog".
