The mine's management is currently engaged in negotiations with the workers' union representing the employees. One of the workers contacted us and shared the following:"Help us at Eldorado Mine we are being victimised. It's the second day and they are forcing us to take a salary which is not regulated by NEC. After graduating I chose to go work at UBH in Bulawayo. Got on overnight train, arrived around 9am. Got to the hospital, did the tour etc. 3pm, they inform me that they were not going to provide me with accommodation as we had agreed. Picked my suitcase & hitch-hiked back to Harare. I was in Gweru some time before midnight. There was nothing going to Hre. Eventually, this truck comes along. The driver says "Wangu unomwa here, because muno umu munotoda vanomwa nekubhema" Got into the thing. I think he was coming from delivering matehwe kuBata. I can't even describe the stench. Dude had a coolerbox rema lager & more. All he said was "Rova, iwe unonotenga tapinda mu Chegutu" That was the first time I heard this song from Soma Mafia. Dude was hyping this song & I wasn't feeling it at all apa he wld repeat "Warizwa here bass?" By the time we got to Kwekwe ndini ndandakuto rewinder. We arrived in Harare around 3-4am. He dropped me just opposite Munhumutapa building. Took my suitcase, he got out and we fist bumped semarasta. As I was walking away he commited the cardinal sin. Akuti rega ndimboweta. All this was in the eyes of the guys who guard that Mugabe office 😭 Story for another day.....
