Kudos to this sleeper bus operator Bus driver explaining passengers on how to exit bus in case of emergency. They have made all their bus windows as emergency exit and every window has hammer attached with it to break open the glass and exit in case of emergency

Within a week all hammers would be gone and bus owner will have a reality check in vishwagorilla citizens’ civic sense.

Wait till somebody takes it home or breaks the window without any reason, here somebody has to exploit the system, whether its passenger, bus operator or driver. Nothing can remain here as it should be.

earlier, a hammer was provided for every two rows, and could break any window in case of an emergency. What happened was, from a personal pov, a kid playing with the hammer broke the window glass, replacing it costs from 2500-8000, and slowly operators have removed it

Some of us out there are really sick assholes 0 empathy & concern for others, imagine stealing the emergency hammer tool,. well, assholes steal even the drinking water tumbler & the mug from the toilet in trains ... so.... What could be the way to cure this diseased mindset

Sleeper buses shouldn't exist in the first place. Safety Norms just don't allow it but RTOs are turning the blind eye and allowing them to ply on the road.

Have travelled in these for long. Private operators behave like they are above law. Safety is an afterthought with them. Drivers often flee after accidents. We need stricter training standards and safer interior designs. Like most things in India: travel at your own risk.

I was sitting on the emergency window on the flight this week. The hostess gave lots of gyaan about when to open the door except HOW to open the door or push the handle or turn the handle.

If the bus driver is explaining, how is the bus still moving? On God's will or another driver?

Sleeper buses run only in jugad countries like India and pak. They are extremely unsafe and caused many deaths due to horrific driving, driver fatigue due to 16 hr duty, poor maintainance and pathetic road conditions. Ppl end up in thes coffins as govt dosnt provide enough trains

Now that’s a bus with both comfort and combat training. Every seat comes with a mini Thor hammer just in case things get fiery. Imagine the driver saying “In case of emergency, please channel your inner superhero.” Safety has never been this action-packed.

Why these days this incident happening?

Several years ago, when long distance luxury buses were started, they used to play a video about the safety features in the bus before the start of journey. It should be reintroduced.

The most powerful part of this video is how profoundly unremarkable it should be, and yet how extraordinary it feels to us. We are giving "kudos" for something that should be the bare-minimum legal and moral standard for any public transport operator. The fact that this feels so special is a damning indictment of the widespread negligence we have been forced to accept as normal. This bus operator isn't a hero; they are simply a professional in a field where professionalism is tragically rare. Our praise for them should be matched by our anger at the system that makes them such an outlier.
