Today I sent a letter to the Registrar, Delhi University, regarding the disinclusion of the Syllabus "Anglo Kuki War" through my beloved brothers and well wishers who are in Delhi right now. Today I met the Hon'ble Education Minister of Manipur regarding a book which was prescribed as History book for Class XI syllabus of Council of Higher Secondary Education Manipur. That book, named History of Manipur. It was written on page 9 Heading “The Kukis” second paragraph second line, that some Kuki Tribes migrated to Manipur hills in pre historic times. But according to ‘Manipur and Naga hills (1896)’ by Major Sir James Johnston, page 45, it was written that the term Kukis was heard between 1830 to 1840. So, the quote mentioned in the mention textbook is completely wrong to use the term "pre-historic". Therefore, I strongly urged to our Hon'ble Education Minister to completely ban this book which is still readily available in the market and make a press release or order from the Government side as the mentioned statement was taught for years to the Students. Further, there is also a conspiracy to include Anglo Kuki War in Delhi University's syllabus. It is already said by Ministry of Home Affairs that that there is no Anglo Kuki war 1917-1919. I will further inquire about it and will urge to take strict action against those who are related in this conspiracy.
