I visited the Kurdish Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo. My impressions: 📌 The Assad regime mistreated the Syrian Kurds and put them in a ghetto-like area. 📌 The YPG/SDF did nothing to improve services, daily life for Kurds, and forced them to live in such miserable conditions. ➡️ Kurds deserve better than this

More than 12,000 Kurdish lives lost fighting against ISIS, only for those who still remain be attacked by Turkish backed jihadists and thugs again, bombed endlessly, water and electricity supplies cut, more people displaced and targeted. Turkish fascism is deeply dedicated to the eradication of Kurdish culture and lives. Turkey aided ISIS against the Kurds. Turkey built SNA against the Kurds. Turkey fosters and creates jihadist groups to achieve its anti-Kurdish agendas.

Update of the situation in Syria - the YPG moved in to fill the security vacuum left by the Syrian regime’s army - YPG is now in control of Aleppo international airport, Deir Hafir, Tal Arn and Maskanah alongside several other points. Essentially establishing a Kurdish corridor towards Aleppo - North of Aleppo the Kurdish forces from Tal Rifaat took control of Nubl and Zahra cities - it is only a matter of time until the Kurdish corridor will be in direct confrontation with the Turkish led SNA offensive on the same region. - Tal Rifaat is bracing for an imminent attack - Kurdish neighbourhood in Aleppo has finished all Defensive preparations - Syrian regime is still inside Aleppo - in the eastern region of Aleppo they are retreating. We had to wait to announce this and we had to give major concerns to OPSEC - cautioning all Kurds to do the same! We gain nothing from posting Kurdish movements on social media - all we do is provide the enemy with insights into the Kurdish forces.
