Listen to the whispers just after Rover breaks the mask:- "I don't wanna go back" Then the next line: "Did you forget your own Homeland" So it's just my guess:- ~but when he breaks Sigillum's mask, Rover's frequency present inside was also mentally fighting against the corruption, that Rover's frequency might have seen something about his homeland when it was stuck in voidspace.
