Plenty of Dems support this A living wage? Wtf does that mean but plenty of Dems supporting raising the minimum wage or things like child tax credits. Unions for everybody? Even the unemployed? Taxing the wealthy? Means nothing. Taxing how? And we already tax the wealthy, and why not just raise taxes on everybody. Free childcare? Amazing. Love it. I got 3 kids. The statement is not a policy, it's just a broad idea that's already executed in some form in virtually all countries. Hasan isn't cirtiszed because he supports (mostly) democratic policies. Liberals want to text the rich to fund the their policies, but their policies also want to destroy the ability for people to become rich. Liberals will destroy the economy with the destruction of capital pools and regulation, and then there will be no rich to tax and fund their wish list. The “moderate according to the polls” claim is overstated. Individual items poll well when framed as benefits without costs; support drops when taxes, replacement of private insurance, or government administration are specified. That does not make the full package moderate in the U.S. context.
