I’m confident Kyle would run dirt before Cup if he had to pick

Rick is hoping he will eventually learn how to drive and stop wrecking HIS cars

Life is a free will kinda thing... Never let someone keep you from doing what you love.

Kyle Larson made it clear to Jeff Gordon, that he would NOT come to Hendrick unless he put it in his contact that he got to drive what he wanted, when he wanted. Jeff and Jimmy Johnson all had contracts restricting them from driving anything. Jeff convinced Rick to do it. Are you this stupid? Do you not have Google?? This was major news when it happened because Rick Hendrick never let his drivers do this until Larson.

Obviously this is Downfords…but real talk here. If Hendrick tried to keep Larson from racing dirt (or any other form of racing he’s interested in running that doesn’t conflict with Cup) he would leave. Either for another team that lets him run dirt, or leave NASCAR altogether.
