Recognize this E-Moto Rider? One of our Traffic officers was on patrol recently in the 4800 block of Baseline Road when he saw a rider on an e-moto driving recklessly. He tried to stop the rider but he hopped the grass median and eluded the officer into a nearby neighborhood. A short time later the rider was seen again performing a wheelie on Folsom Street near Regent Avenue. The rider then stopped at a red light at Folsom and Arapahoe and the officer tried to make contact on foot. But the rider sped off for a second time, again hopping the median and driving the wrong way on Folsom Street. The rider’s last known location was in the area of the Frasier Meadows neighborhood. He is described as being a white male between the ages of 14 and 22 and was last seen wearing a black dirt bike helmet, black sweatshirt, a black backpack with two vertical white stripes on the rear, blue jeans with black van type shoes with brown soles. His electric dirt bike is mostly black with purple pegs. He had red accents on the top cap portion on his front forks and his seat had what looked to be patches or stickers on the top side of the seat. His rear brake light/reflector was at the very end of his fender. The rider is facing charges of reckless driving and felony eluding and more are possible. At PM, Deputy Vincent with our Traffic Unit spotted a white and orange sport bike speeding 67 MPH in a 45 MPH zone on University Blvd. When he attempted to stop the rider, the suspect intentionally fled, weaving through traffic, and even using the bicycle lane to pass vehicles (including another deputy) at high speed. Brandon Watts, age 40, from Denver was taken into custody without injury to deputies or damage to vehicles. The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is initiating the vehicle forfeiture process to seize the motorcycle used in this criminal activity. ALERT: Mother alleges the teen who mowed down her daughter and best friend did it because he “had the freedom to do it.” Maria Niotis and Isabella Salas, both 17, were riding e-bikes in September 2025 when 18-year-old Vincent Battiloro intentionally ran them over. Battiloro initially said his car was stolen by a man in a red mask and armed with a knife. The complaint read, "Search warrants were executed on the Jeep Compass, and dash camera footage was obtained from the vehicle. The footage from 9/29 showed the defendant getting into and driving the vehicle to the area of Burnside Avenue, where he parked. Shortly thereafter, both victims were seen on the e-bike heading in the opposite direction." Detectives say Battiloro then made a U-turn and accelerated his Jeep at a "high rate of speed” before running over and killing Maria and Isabella. Foulla Niotis, Maria’s mother, said Battiloro thought he was “untouchable” because of his family in law enforcement and that he “planned” the attack. Battiloro originally had his identity withheld, but his case was transferred to adult court, where he was charged with 2 counts of first-degree murder.

Republishing the name of the restaurant even before the poll is over because I just spoke with the owner! It is not Mexican but a SALVADORAN 🇸🇻spot on Alondra Blvd. named La Cieba. The restaurant owner Elizabeth Mendoza who moved here from El Salvador and loves her culture and being an American citizen. She has been established here legally for many years. She is happy to let people know and come eat at her restaurant which she calls “a humble little hole in the wall that welcomes everyone.” She says they love their police officers and the police love them. “I give them a lot of food because I know they need my help. It is so dangerous for them. They are friends and they always say thank you. So many people said thank you today!” I asked if she felt it was safe to share, if she felt the protestors would supportive or if they could target her. She said “No, it is okay! The protestors were also very kind to me. I gave them water and was kind to them as well.” She shared a video (a bit blurry) but it is of her giving police food outside too. In the chaos, they showed real compassion by helping our officers who were under attack and creating a safe space for everyone. The old man that walked around the confrontation, was in a conversation with John immediately before, then walked around it all and went outside and had a long conversation with BA, BH, NA and CA. He knows! Furthermore, this tied the whole thing together like the end of a movie. It was the missing piece. They all lied and never mentioned it. Why? JM was standing there talking to Karen. So… 11:32pm: BH texts KR “ummmmm…well?” 11:57pm - 11:58pm: BH gives John the middle finger, yells across the room at him, is held back by CA, gestures for JO to come outside. 12:11am: John walks out with the rocks glass and is seen for the last time alive as he heads to 34F. 12:20am: BH, despite saying he never talked to John, didn’t know John was going to 34F and didn’t talk to him as he left, he texts what’s now known as a challenge, not an invite, “are you coming???” 12:21am: John arrives at 34F and goes straight to the basement. 12:30am: KR pulls away from 34F. 12:32am: John’s phone stops moving. 12:36am: KR connected to John’s WiFi. 2:22am: BA “butt dials” BH which was immediately returned by another “butt dial” from BH and they have a :22 call. 2:27am: JM gets home and googles “hos long to die in cold?” 6:03am: John is found beaten and dead on the lawn of 34F.
