The Memphis native averaged 16.4 PPG and 4.0 AST on hyper-efficient 56/46/82 shooting splits. Frison put up an excellent PPS of 1.25, shooting a ridiculous 69% at the rim as a small guard. Profiles as a shot-creating guard, shooting extremely well off the dribble (59.3% EFG with over 56% of jumpers OTD).

New: Illinois State Police Release Drone Video of Fatal Shooting in La Salle Standoff On March 30, 2025, around 1:30 p.m., La Salle and Peru police responded to a suicidal man with a gun, identified as 72-year-old Daniel W. Curtin Sr. Officers observed Curtin exit the building and fire his handgun in the air multiple times. The La Salle County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team assisted in de-escalation efforts for over 90 minutes, during which Curtin repeatedly exited with the gun and allegedly fired it out a window toward officers. Around 4:00 p.m., Curtin exited again, pointed the gun at officers, and was fatally shot by one officer.

We had the pleasure of interviewing Ron Frost, Head Coach of Nicholls Softball, who shared his unique story and the “why” behind what fuels his passion for college athletics. Coach Ron is a college baseball player turned college softball coach. The Atlanta native was a pitcher for Alabama State Baseball, and after his playing days he pursued coaching within the baseball program. Frost went on to start a travel ball organization in Alabama and work in sports turf management before finding his way to coaching softball at Vernon College Athletics. In 2022, Frost came to Nicholls as an assistant and was named Head Softball Coach earlier this summer. We look forward to sharing highlights of our conversation with Frost over the next few weeks!
